At least Lindsay missing is balanced out by JFH missing for them. It helps not having Cleary there also but they’re still going to be very hard to beat.

The riff have found the next man up attitude for the last few years and Cleary has missed games each year! Whats the bet luai will play his 1 good game a year this week
as much as we needed to beat broncos and south’s Beating the riff and storm are required as we have not done for a long time and we need to know we can win!
they won’t have a better chance this week to do so!
seems Egan butch res grade game got him in over Wong! Let’s see if he repays the faith this week
jwh and Terrell may will play big minutes
a few high balls and cross field kicks - we need to take advantage of our height out wide

Easts are kidding themselves if we don’t get the W here, someone mentioned they have adopted our next man up attitude, that is very true even with Cleary missing they’re bloody hard to beat, we need to get this losing streak ‘monkey’ off our backs against them.

Easts by 8 in a defensive battle.

Keep the errors to a minimum and bomb to the wings if Penrith are vulnerable anywhere it’s in the air on the flanks, need good field position and a kicking masterclass, something we haven’t been renowned for unfortunately.

Penrith have a very unique playing style, basically their outside backs take the first 4 or 5 hit ups which keeps their middles fresh for their defensive sets. It’s also why they have good set completion, lots of one out running.

I’m feeling positive because our improved fitness might mean we can set good line speed and reduce their set running meter total

We’ve been in good form against Souths and Brisbane. If we can repeat that then maybe the game will be closer this time but I’m still predicting a loss as Penrith are a league above us and even without Cleary are almost unbeatable.

I just hope we play some decent footy and that there's a contest. If we can create a contest then IMO anything can happen from there...

Hopefully our new discipline will also assist in getting the Win.

Strong team. Wong is this seasons Sam Walker. Will spend time in regies only to resurrect his time in the top grade later in the year and go on a run of impressive games.

Surely we put the Panthers to the sword TW. Expecting us to win by 14. Fairly confident

Score more points than the other team.

The squads are pretty even with injuries
Apart from the obvious ball control and field posession
the point of difference we have atm is our height in the outside back
our backs range from 6”4’ to 6”7 where they don’t have one over 6”
                              we need to use them!

E Butcher is playing Front row rotation, this is the Wong isn’t picked.

the other reason is that he was rubbish against Manly. Nat Butcher took his spot.
