robbo should have bought him on earlier tonight

once fit Billy smith needs to take suaali spot and sandon smith for Keary
disappointing had hope tonight if we play like we did last week we would have won! Unfortunately we have a great week then shit to follow

14 - 6 at half time is a pass mark (just) - because of all our bumbling / fumbling mistakes. But to let those 2 tries in after half time when we were trying to prove we can beat this team was just crap.
9 zip to these Westies. Robbo what's doin son ?

for the first half we looked way too pre programmed and robotic.
The bunker really broke our back with that dreadful call.
Cleary is a masterful coach.
I was calling for him to coach us 15 years ago. The threads will still be there somewhere

What got me before during and after the game was the constant no Cleary, JFH or Sorensen
not once was it mentioned about the chooks missing Collins, Leniu, s smith or b smith
s smith is better then Keary, b smith is way better at centre then Suaali
and we got owned in the forwards so could have used Collins and Leniu

Too much loose ball , low percentage plays, missed tackles all the same usual stuff over the last 4 years…
What’s with Suaalii constantly running in as we gifted Penrith tries there.
Here we go again same as last season Walker and Keary, For whatever reason just don’t work they have no long kicking game, far too small. Keary for a running half is so slow and scared of hitting the line , He tries low percentage plays to cover for it and they rarely pay off.

We have 90% completions we win. It simply comes down to that. Some dumb mistakes cost us. Our go forward is different if we had Collins and Leniu. Ebutch offered nothing tonight. Sandon offers more off the bench than Watto. There was no intensity from either team. It was actually a pretty average game. Both teams will get much better.
We have shown some great signs early on which we rarely do.
We always improve the second half of the year.
Gussy is getting back to his best. Love the guy.
It is Round 4 and some clowns have written us off. Robbo is shit. Where to from here....boo...fkn...hoo.
Harden up you fkn sooks. There are 26 games to go ffs.
Onto next week.
Edit: I forgot my 3-2-1
3 - Rads
2 - Gussy
1 - the goose in the bunker ffs. Sitili was a knock on you dickhead.Last edited by Inflictor; 03-28-2024, 11:15 PM.

I try to watch games objectively and at no point did i think the chooks were dominant, i did see some frantic , catch up football from but little in the way of a clear effective game plan to combat penrith.
I see little change in the result if billy smith or sandon play. Spencer may have more energy and meterage, but I doubt a circuit breaker.
we were absolutely owned , at home by a team lacking the world's best player, and possibly best prop.
there is no alternate reality where we win that playing as we did.

We got taught a lesson tonight as Robbo said in how to play tough before you do the flashy stuff. Penrith are so well drilled, When you are consistently starting the set 5 meters out, no wonder our forwards got dominated when the first few tackles the outside men are getting smashed.
I’m just frustrated we did not put our best foot forward as I was interested to see if we could compete. Not yet but don’t give up hope !!
I don’t think we are a million miles away but we need to develop a game style to beat the best teams. We have a bad record against the top teams each year. I believe this is our inability to compete for 80mins. This is on Robbo.
For the first time tonight I think Sandon Smith has gone past Keary. Kearys inability to consistently dig into the line and give space to his outside men was highlighted by Sandon’s performance last week.

I like smith , but I think if he was put into starting there are a lot of people on this website in for a rude shock.
we're in the mix as we sit along with manly, parra, cows, Melbourne, warriors, sharks,Bronx raiders for top 4 , however we are still a long way off penriff, but so is everyone else , maybe melba aside.

Just got home from the game. Rewatching some parts of it… the Edwards try.. my god that was some amateur defence from Suaalii but in particular our man D Tupou. What in the heck was he doing there? Falls over trying to tackle turuva and then gets back up and stands there watching Edwards kick in behind him and score. LAZY stuff from our senior player there.
