Ponga might have more natural talent than Cleary but he is nowhere near as good or as consistent as Cleary

A win IS a statement against the Premiers. I'll be happy if we win by 1 point.

Well, it won’t be a rabbits level win , but I reckon we got the riff for the first time in a long time

Nervous anticipation from me. Can we finally beat them? It’s been a long time.

your kidding mate . I don't care that ponga won dally m , Johnson should have won it .

cleary all day every day over ponga, watch the last 20of the gf if you wont confirmation.

if c smith is the best I've seen and maybe joey or Freddy second , cleary is 3rd already alongside Thurston and only halfway through his career.

No the best player in the game Cleary plus no JFH or Sorensen.
If we can’t beat a weaken Penrith side tonight then we are all kidding ourselves.
It's early in the season and we're without our best 2 props. This will be a great chance for us to finally down the Riff (first time since 2019) but I won't be calling the 2024 season over if we lose.

There's plenty of growth left in our current squad + our forward rotation will be next level when we're rolling through Collins, May, Leniu & JWH. When our forwards are full strength they can start whinging about a couple of fish...

We gotta win. If not now then when?

No changes. 17 as named, Jenko is 18th again.

Early season form is impossible to gauge. But I'm hoping we make a statement.

Not sure bout your last sentence. Stats indicate Panthers performance drops more without Luai than Cleary.

Since 2022 they've won 12 from 15 without Nathan. With Luai in their win percentage is around 88%. When he's absent though, that drops to just over 50% ( 7wins, 6 losses from 13 games).

They will go in to this game with plenty of confidence.

I have seen some signs in the first 3 rounds that we r finally clicking … just hope we can win tonight because we would have dropped this game in the past. I want to see intent tonight and a ruthless edge

                          What’s everyone thoughts
seems a mixed bag of we should win too if we e are competitive that’s enough to show we are close
I think we need a win tonight so the team knows they can knock off the riff
however it’s early season so if we loose it shows what we need to do to get there
our team has the talent they just need to give themselves a chance through high completion rate but also challenge Penrith when we can and not just go set for set
is a loss a failure tonight or just a it’s only round 4 and the season is not won now?

                            a loss isn't a failure.

a flogging though shows were not premiership contenders.

a loss by 10 or less is acceptable, a loss by more is a concern.

                            go chooks.

Who’s to say we will ever have our 4 best props playing at the same time?
I doubt we will get our best 17 on a the paddock.
