  • How do these C*nts do it?

Just checking the match stats and fark me.. these riff boys are insane like the fact that we had 188 runs all up for only 1339M is crazy. They are just relentless in not allowing their opponents to make crazy meters.

it’s not only us they’ve done it to this season.. pretty much all sides they’ve faced have been the same. So it just makes me think how do they do it? Is it technique? Our boys like to hold the ball carrier and get numbers in but can be exposed to offloads or PCM. Maybe more of just cutting the player?

    I don’t know but man it’s crazy.

It’s very frustrating watching them do this week in week out year after year.
I never thought I’d say this but I hope Melbourne win it because we’re miles off they will do the same to Manly, nobody can match that boring old bullshit they do every game ****en can’t stand the sight of them winning all the damn time, they will win right through to origin period now take it easy for a few weeks then do the same shit all the way to another premiership.

Can’t argue the stats but I’m not sold on them being pencilled in for 2024 just yet.

We were shyt last night and they played great yet we still only lost by 6 points. We had a disallowed try that should have been given and they scored twice off plays that included forward passes.

We aren’t far off the mark.

Not sure they made us play that way.

How does the Riff or any other team for that matter make Suaalii a shyt centre or how do they force Walker to only have a 30m boot on him?

How do the Riff get the bunker to rob Manu of his try?

Im putting it down to an off night. We should have won but it’s spilt milk now. Let’s hope we can mop it all up next week!

Penrith have developed a simple effective game plan.

Outside backs take the first 4 tackles with strong running, this gives their forwards a chance to recharge and then smash the opponent in defensive sets.

They have great end of set plays and makes this tactic even more effective.

This is where Robbo needs to think, what is our game plan to beat the best teams. Our current style works against , Titans, St George etc, but when it comes to Melbourne , Penrith that compete for 80mins we don’t stand a chance

yeah, penrith were excellent last night. they compete on every play with and without the ball. they're in the groove.
that said we didn't play as well as we can and if we'd made less mistakes in the first half we would have put them under pressure. crazy to think that the only try scored from a bomb last night was by them despite our height advantage

Don’t cry over the Manu try too much. Penrith were robbed a try by Tago

Penrith’s stamina is next level though. It’s remarkable that not just a handful of their players have extraordinary stamina, but the entire squad. Way more than any team in the comp. Every team has strength and conditioning regimes - our fitness has definitely improved from last year. But the whole squad at Penrith seems to just be at full throttle for 80 minutes every game all year. And yet the second any of them leave Penrith for another club, they lose it. Fascinating.

It interesting you say that Zac. Watching Young in the first half it was like his feet were nailed to the ground on a few occasions.

                      No they weren’t.

Edwards should have been penalised for taking out JWH without the ball.
When he scored that solo try, if he can kick it through, step past and run around players to score, he could have avoided a collision with JWH as well. He ran at him on purpose and took him down.

I’ve said it before that there could very well be something in the water out there at the foot of the mountains.

Let's hope they get done for peptides or some other PED thus wiping their achievements from the record books and sending their miserable club back to their natural habitat of mid table irrelevancy where they belong.

                          No I'm not bitter...

I’ve been alluding to that but you have articulated it very well.

                              It's their game plan.

In attack, it's almost entirely the backs involved, whist the forwards rest.

In defence, the forwards control the middle and aren't fatigued from attacking.

Throw in field positioning from kicking and mistake free footy you win 3 premierships in a row.
