Ill always defend Les as a good Roosters man who demands success and excellence as is his right. Can ask the tough questions. However, I can't agree with Les on this one. I think Angus Crichton needs to go for the good of both parties. It's almost like he's in a weird limbo given we all expected him to be out the door last season.

The fact it's even a possibility someone as gifted as him can't make our 17 shows he is so far off where he needs to be. He's on a kings ransom and he should work on himself out of the spotlight in Rugby U. If he cant make our starting side, he shouldnt be at the club. His role is not as a next man up cover in a 30 man squad, yet thats where he has found himself. He hasn't played well (or at least strung 2-3 good games together) for 2 years and I wouldn't have him in our starting side over Wong, a rookie and Nat Butcher, a workhorse with very limited upside. Sitili and him is a toss up, but I'd probably still have Sitili in the 17 over him.

I would wish Gus the best and hate to see whats happened to him and its a reminder of the rigours of elite sport. In my opinion but in his 100 games for us, I reckon we've seen maybe 20 games of absolute quality where hes earnt his keep, 60 games of neither here nor there and another 20 of absolute rubbish. Not the performances of an elite representative backrower. Compare that to Cords or Fitzy before him. Consistency is key in forwards and he doesn't have it.

I don’t think he has had that great a running game with us yet, his Limited minutes mean we have to find a replacement for about 30min a match, which I think disrupts our play.

I think he can be very good, but we need to be rolling for him to be most effective, don’t think he has as much creativity as some of the others.

now each dummy half may look better depending on how the team is travelling, and how much a team is solely relying on them, look at Walters and Kenny, as long as they are not making simple mistakes, in a good side they play seamlessly, Mahoney was very good for Parra when he was there.

Its only our own fans that rate us down, which is par for the course at most clubs. Our backline would be the best. Our front row rotation would be the best. We have strong depth at 9, and in our backrow. I'm looking at our squad minus injury or suspension in this case.

I think he made the Aus line-up after being great for us for about 6 weeks during the season. He just does not deliver on a consistent basis for mine. Which makes it even more frustrating. Because there is no debate that he is an awesome footy player on his day. The days just happen too infrequently.

fullback, top 3 in the game still.

wingers, most clubs would take Dom as their winger

centers, every club would take Manu

5/8 and halfback, they probably wouldn’t feature in the top 6 halves combos in the comp

frontrowers, easily top 3 rotation in the comp

hooker, not a top 6 dummy half in the comp

second rowers, way down the pecking order

lock, top 4 in the comp.

so out of 9 positions, we are solid in 5, but overall we are missing consistent halves,hooker and 2nd rowers.

Hmm … decent effort … but
