There’s a feeling of super confidence, an arrogance within their club. Their system has worked with an 85% winning rate since 2020 giving players confidence that they can just slot into the machine. You don’t give enough weight to this mental side of the game. They also have the confidence that they won’t be penalised or 6 agained no matter how much they push the ref in being off side. It’s easier for Brad Schneider to fit into this confident, arrogant, accustomed to winning machine than it was for him to slot into the raiders inconsistent afraid of losing team. I’m not going over the same ground I covered with you last year. You didn’t care then so I suspect nothing has changed.
It was an average lineup full of B grade players and a few bona fide stars missing its best player … everyone recognises that so why try to deny it? even the Broncos coach said he used it as motivation the next day

Penrith are superbly coached and we are not … that is the point of the whole post … glad you finally understand that

If we actually beat them on the odd occasion I would have let it slide as an aberration … like I did after the Manly loss … but losing to them once again at home with a superior lineup deserves severe criticism

If you think that’s a stretch then you best consider this may well be our last proper chance to win a title for quite some time … if I have to whip the coach like a jockey all year to get us over the line I gladly will

          • They are coming at you Les.

A constant stream of jabbing & over hand shots & someones looking for the knock out blow.

It's late in the 12th, can you survive to get to the judges score card...lol

            • I had high hopes for this season and was feeling pretty good after flying interstate to watch us smash Souffs.

I knew the game against Penrith would be a tough one. But the way they performed has me concerned.

It was the coach's job to have the team prepared for this game. They were well off the pace, and to be fair the scoreline was flattering.

Shhhh don't say the C word.

Some think the players prepare & coach themselves during the week & are to blame.

                    Totally agree mate..

As I mentioned in another thread, our intent and enthusiasm was well below par against a Panthers team that we had every right to beat the other night..

Cleary had his team up and ready for a fight, not sure what Robbo did with his team..

I know it’s early in the season, but that is definitely concerning.

more then what he has delivered in the last 18 months.

has had his moments , but nowhere near consistent enough.

Nat butcher, albeit far less talented and less naturally gifted is far more consistent and better value imo.

Look tbh, I'm not going to be overly critical just yet..

I always said let's see how the first 4-6 weeks go.

Sitting at 2-2 & good one week & ordinary the next my eyebrows are starting to raise.

We can right the ship with good wins v Dogs & Knights. Which we have to.

Otherwise a loss to the dogs or both & this thread will light up bigger than News Years Eve fireworks.

I think the whole collective has been very inconsistent for a few years … Crichton is still a top footballer and a proper asset … we need him this year

True … it’s a long season and we’ve just begun … but that was a bad loss worthy of comment … we can’t keep losing to these guys

Overall though, I feel very confident about this squad … strongest we’ve had in awhile

Agreed … Bondi Paul’s finest moment I would think
