I admire the composure of the rest of you on here, and the willingness to "move on" after the shameful and ridiculous ban of Leniu for a third of the season for saying a bad word. Cowardly by the NRL to pander to the Lynch mob in the media who literally decided what the penalty should be - as that's what they gave them. Including Thurston virtue signalling after what he knows he did in Coffs Harbour. And Hynes, whose mother could well be behind bars if not for the forgiveness of the judicial system - she got someone killed , and can't stop stealing - but he had to prejudice any chance of a fair hearing for one coloured gentleman teasing another coloured gentleman.

Carpet bombing all the games with gambling adverts is obviously far less harmful than saying "monkey ". I'm glad the NRL are able to maintain the moral high ground in such a dignified and convincing manner.

Also telling how much patience and understanding Abdo expressed for Latrell, not even fining him, saying "we all make mistakes with things we say", but showed no understanding to Leniu.

Not since Pearce getting suspended for a harmless off field incident for 10 weeks, plus a 50K fine, have I seen a bigger miscarriage of justice.
I never commented on the whole absurd outrage so I thought I'd quote your brilliant post.
The NRL is indeed gutless and hypocritical.
If this bronco ptd ltd idiot was crying after the game he should stick to playing netball.

      Thanks Eddie.

Such a low point in our society as a whole, not just the NRL.

What about the mental health of Spencer Leniu in all of this? He must be pretty confused to have to sit in the grandstand for a third of the season because of the cowardice of our "leaders" to take a stand against this nonsense. I'm assuming his "victim" (who allegedly happily joined his broncos team mates in calling the poly players "coconuts") is recovering from the awful scars of his ordeal. Weak little piece of shit.

After tonite's game, more than one person could feel entitled to add the Broncos to the list of "teacher's pet teams".

Obviously we're not on the list. Oh well, such is life.

If you go through our tries and attacking threats over the years, a large percentage come off Kearys speed and engaging defenders opposite. His attraction is quick feet on the diagonal to split two defenders. Gives him the option of hitting a lead runner into a gap/or half gap. Or spreading wide to use an overlap. The third piece of the arsenal would be a left foot step if his opposite over reacts to his sprint, which he doesn't really use - granted. He can still show and go however straightening up.

So its nothing to do with getting older or being "done" as you put it, moreso a very deliberate tactic. Kez still has the quickness for that short sprint thats required, more than most of his opposites. The key to looking smooth with our plays though is dominating the forward and yardage battle first. If we are beaten to that punch, things won't flow freely.
Keary has never straightened our attack. He has spent his whole career running towards the touchline. Which worked great when he would dummy and take the line on or run across field and find Latrell.
