Two year extension that lines up again for when his brother comes off contract. Wouldn’t be surprised if we put in a proper offer for Taylan come end of 26 to keep Tyrell.

Cannot believe we didn't make a proper play for Taylan. Was it the face tatts? The bloke is a gun and fits perfectly into our side for the next few seasons. Very young and of course has the connection with his brother.
Robbo speaks well of him and Taylan spoke well of Robbo. Just seems weird we didnt make it happen. Exactly what the team needs next season.
RE: Terrell. Great news once confirmed by the club. We all know how good he is and has been. Will be one of the best props in the game for the next 5+ years. Freak.Last edited by HunchoRooster; 04-02-2024, 11:14 PM.

I think some of them penriff boys are pretty tight out west . I know they keep losing them , but there looks too be a true sense of camaraderie around that club .
also worth mentioning beware the Melbourne storm effect ...how many clubs havebought players off the storm and they have not performed ? cronk, harris, tino being exceptions , could penrith be the same . guess well learn that with luai next year ...burton has been a bust but he was in a crap bulldog team.

Good news !
Maybe the two years offer only is for both parties to be safe just in case Terrell decided to head back to the West to join his brother and/or maybe the Chooks are keeping an eye on both Xavier and De La Salle Va'a coming through.

They've come good and winners are always grinners. However, I think the end of their time on top is nigh. They coulda lost most of their GF and my take-away from their last game is that (like the Storm), they've become a fiddly club that milks a lot of penalties and is used to getting favourable treatment.

Penrith also sign juniors in their system with no intention to play them...their sole purpose is so they don't sign to play for other clubs. They do business very well, but all their juniors dont get treated the best. I also know they dictate to kids what position they're playing as young as 15. Say Penrith look at their Flegg and Ball teams and they're a bit short on centres. Senior figures of the club will then approach Harold Matt Kids and even younger ,pick the best backrowers they think can cover centre and tell them if they want a future at the club they will now be playing centre. Smart business for the club, but i personally know a few kids who struggle with it a bit at such a young age

Terrell May will remain a Rooster after agreeing to terms on a two-year, $1 million contract extension.
The deal, which is yet to be officially signed off, also includes an upgrade for the current season. St George Illawarra coach had publicly expressed an interest in May if he was keen to genuinely test his value on the open market, while Canterbury were also monitoring the situation with interest.

However, the rising prop never wanted to leave Bondi Junction and the parties have agreed to a deal that will result in him earning $500,000 a season from next year.
May had expressed a desire to one day play alongside his siblings, Taylan and Tyrone. The Dragons were prepared to accommodate Terrell and Taylan, although the latter recently recommitted to Penrith.
