- Pearce spoke about his battle with alcohol, used it as a vice to cover his social anxiety. Spoke about the inconsistency it drove in his personal life and footballing career.
- Pearce said and I quote “I got replaced by a much better halfback and a winner and I can admit that” - said he struggled to to come to terms with it initially but in hindsight he can see it clearly. Said when he went to present JWH’s jersey for his 300th he saw all the players names up on a board including his own with trophies next to their name to represent premierships and he wondered had he stayed if there might be a few more next to his name.
- Pearce spoke about the difference between Super League and NRL, good discussion around why it’s a good development ground for halves who maybe are struggling with the pressures of NRL.
- Cooper spoke about struggling to fit in initially at the Roosters, the pressure of taking over from someone like Pearce who had been at the club for so long and had so many friendships, spoke about having to change his style of play and the slow 4-4 start to the season.

Did Pearce mention anything about how he’d wished someone had taught him how to kick a torpedo bomb?

Pearce couldve and shouldve been out best halfback ever..he had all tools to be so.He had his vices and it wasn't just the drink. In the end he healed himself..a bit late for his footballing career..still he was a loyal rooster and won a comp.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe
