Our 2013 GF winning half back. That deserves respect. Nonetheless, it's a shame he couldn't completely focus on football.

Pearce was never able to pull the clutch play.

But then few could do that as well as Cooper.

Remember where he organised the field goal win against Melbourne. He stood deep but told Keary to send the ball to Latrell who booted it.

Pearce came across well in the interview. Have nothing against the bloke. Was an awesome competitor. Very tough, good defender and had all the fundamentals to be a world class 7.

His primary issue was his inability to organise and manage situations regardless of how many games he played. He got criticized far more than he deserved but still a case of what if for Mitch which is rare for a 300 game premiership winning half. Seems a sound bloke when of sound mind. On the grog was a goose clearly with far too many strikes against him. Even ended up farrking it up when he was the main man at Newcastle on 1mil +.

We made the right call but Im not sure Mitch did. Definitely couldve stuck around and played off the bench or in a lock forward role that I always thought he'd be good at.

He literally pulled off the clutch play of the 2013 grand final that got us back in to the game and carried the team on his back at the end of the 2014 when the likes of Maloney and SBW were going missing every week. This disrespect towards Pearce from our fans is still incredible and shows we have one of if not the most ungrateful fanbase in Australian sport.
