The coach has said 'I spoke with the powers that be and given the guy was knocked out, I'm comfortable it was a send-off'.

IMO that's not him saying he agrees. It's him saying he understands the reasoning that has been used and isn't gonna challenge it.

Was just about to post the same thing. In fact he had two incidents. A tackle on Kyle Flanagan and another on Zac Lomax. Both possible send offs. Rads and JWH would've gotten sent plus 8 weeks for both.

Unless Flanno has a steel jaw. He was up and about fairly quickly. Taaffe recently regained consciousness.

Impact was not with the head or he would have been knocked out. His arm swung around during the tackle and hit his head. The Lomax tackle was probably a little worse and wasn't anywhere near Young's impact.

The outcome of how Taaffe ended up compared to Flanno should tell you they were completely different.
