Simple answer to our constant frustration.
I get sick of hearing comments like stacked roster and best team on paper. The usual outlets for this rubbish often print their best lists of players in the game and we are largely ignored. We'd be lucky to have two origin players.
The fact is we don't have a top four roster. We have players who are past their best, players who haven't performed to their initial promise, and players who are far too inconsistent.

I broke my new rule last night and watched another live game. It was painful.
But despite the stupid send offs and bad luck with the hia................................we were simply not good enough.

Fox sports often bang on about us having the best team on paper.............................yet last year in an article on the top players in the game we had 3 players in the top 60.

Agree, there is a lot of noise around our roster and how good it is but the focus is on ball in hand football and neglects that there are two sides to the game. I think our side is really unbalanced with a number of great attacking footballers who are very, very poor defenders, or currently defending very poorly.

We have defensive liabilities right across the park now. If you were to rank best and worst one on one defenders throughout the competition we would be well represented at the bottom end of the table.

We seldom apply pressure with our defense, we are increasingly failing to defend mistakes and we are no longer able to compensate for weak kicking in general play with our defense.

Also, not sure where it comes from; if it is innate in certain players or representative of greater problem within the club but we seem to have real issue with professionalism and showing up every week with commitment and intent. Lat nights first half was embarrassing and the second half was irrelevant, 40 minutes of football when you have been on the field for 80 isn't going to get the job done.

I don't think its season over but there needs to be a complete reset on individual and shared accountability and a huge attitude adjustment.

There was a talkback session with Daley, a reporter and a couple others last week( can’t remember cos I caught it about a qtr of the way through)talking about Cleary,Bennett, Bellamy and robbbo, they talked about different qualities and strengths, the biggest compliment to Robbo was that he is the best in “after match” analysis, and that he still qualifies as one of the best coaches because he has won 3 premierships.

It was very open to interpretation and not sure if they were actually complimenting him in the same regard as the other 3.

Didn't you know that the Roosters 'always sign the best players' and we have a team 'full of rep players!'? Having said that, I'm proud of our undermanned team's performance last night. We may or may not be a top 4 team, but we will be there come semi-final time!

I've held this opinion for 12 months now................................it's not that I think we have a poor roster, it's just not as good as sheeple make out.
