  • Do we need a new experienced HB

Something I have been thinking this morning .

Some who can kick us out of trouble after a poor set
Someone to control the game and calm us down( experience needed)
Someone that allows Walker to play his eyes up football and not worry about organising.

It’s always a tough call, do you continue to be patient and develop Sandon Smith and Walker or do you go to market and buy the finished article, which risks loosing a potential star.

I have not included Keary as I DON’T think he is a HB either and is likely to retire next season

Examples of players with this style would be Moses , Fogarty, DCE

IMO, we play better when one of Walker or Keary are missing. This was true with Hutchison, Sandon Smith, and last night again with Watson. I am not putting Keary or Walker down individually, I just think they are too similar including their weaknesses.

We don't need another experienced half. Partner Walker up with a running 5/8th that has a long kicking game.

Didn’t look that way against Broncs and Souths. Difficult to know about a halfback when the team is out enthused and beaten everywhere else
