    Robbo just cops it sweet and refuses to coach our players to lie down and milk. He seems to think this will curry favour and respect from the refs, NRL and other sides. He is mistaken, and the last 11 years have proven it time and again. On the contrary we are arse raped by the refs and bunker.

    It's time Robbo stopped playing nice - that's if he wants to stay longer than this year as coach.
    That's correct Robinson tells players not to stay down or to milk penalties. Why? Why disadvantage our team?
    Yet, he tells players to stay on the tackled player for that extra .005 second so we can get a six-again against us.
    We are always behind in the penalty count and always have a six-again against us in the first 5 minutes.
    Is this guy trying to get sacked? Where is Beetroot head? How about a story about your mate Robinson and how bad a coach he is.

      The part where the captain didn’t make a challenge and yet the challenge was used anyway, do pay attention Mark

        The refs make more than enough mistakes each game to warrant it.

        As for this incident our players should also know the rules and not act like they are the fkn captain ffs.
        Nah, I’d rather we get fukked over just once a game.

          The fact that Teddy couldn’t win that argument says a lot to me

            IMO the reality is that if we coached players to lie down, we wouldn't get awarded penalties anyway. Thus, there would be no point in doing it.

            Robbo's a realist. 'Get up and play it because Easts don't get given ANYTHING for free...'

              Tedesco isn't a leader, neither is Keary

              I would have more faith in the likes of a Nat Butcher or Lindsay Collins talking on behalf of the team.

                I doubt Robbo wants to curry favour with anyone. I think he wants his players to have integrity and not be looking for shortcuts and cheap penalties and that’s why he doesn’t want them lying down. He probably thinks the benefits of having integrity and the right attitude will outweigh the occasional dud call.

                  The rules as originally published on NRL.com when the challenge was introduced:

                  How it works
                  • Only a captain or nominated co-captain can challenge a decision. Should the captain or co-captain be off the field, another player can be nominated to take his place;
                  • Each team is allowed one unsuccessful challenge per game;
                  • The only decision that can be challenged are ones which involve a structured restart of play (e.g penalty, scrum, drop-out, etc.);
                  • Challenges will not be permitted where the referee allows play to proceed.
