  • Premiership Windows closing

It's still relatively early days but the way we are playing atm it looks like a repeat of the last few years of getting to 5th - 8th spot & being bundled straight out.

After this year there's no - JWH, confirmed
    Suaalii- still going isn't he?
Manu- likely chasing big rugby $,
    Angus?- Who knows.
    Toops?- Probably stay another year.

We aren't rebuilding as some reckon.
We aren't overrated as some reckon
Most of our players would walk into most teams.

We still have current & former Origin & international test players.

This appears to be our last chance to have a decent crack at the title for a while.

Robbo needs to find a way to turn us into a legit title contender. Time to wake the sleeping giant.

Otherwise Robbo can join the departure list & we go with a complete rebuild instead of the same old same old that's being dished up.

It takes one off season of signings to go from bottom to top

I can't see where the calibre of a Cronk, SBW, Mahoney...etc will come from.

Instead we have recent signings like a 35yr Jennings, Nappa, Kevin Naiqama..etc

Even Dom Young who I thought would be a great signing is questionable now.

Not really as the Roosters will still have a competitive squad - Not certain that Toops, Crichton and Manu are leaving at seasons end - Manu looks the most likely though.

        2025 Squad

        Tedesco
        Nawaqanitawase
        Young
        Billy Smith
        Pauga
        Toia
        Keary
        Walker
        Collins
        Leniu
        May
        Whyte
        * Brandon Smith
        Moriarty
        Wong
        Nat Butcher
        Egan Butcher
        Sitili
        Radley
        Sandon Smith
        Watson
        Dockar-Clay

        * Player option for 2025 and 2026

Host of up and comers to name a few progressing through the ranks

        Xavier Va'a
        De La Salle Va'a
        Blake Streep
        Ethan Roberts
        Loelu

The window is shut, believe me.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Does it need to be open before it can be shut ?

Looking at that list missing JWH, Manu, Suaalii at the very least is worrying.

2025 & 26 will definitely be rebuilding years.

We don't have a Bellamy or Bennett to get instant success with those younger players.

Souths getting smashed today & beating Bulldogs last week just shows how bad we are going with that loss last night.

The Knights will beat us for sure.

Those stats again - need better than 50% of the ball and better than 80% set completion rates otherwise you're no hope of winning in the modern game.
                          • Game possession - Warriors 55% - Souths 45%
                          • Set Completions - Warriors 84% (37/44) - Souths 60% (25/41)
                          • Errors - Souths 16 - Warriors 8

What the stats don’t show and what is far more salient with regards to the result was that warriors played with intent , as a team and that they executed a game plan and the bunnies had absolutely no idea what they were doing. They looked disconnected, lethargic and confused

Souffs executed well. L Mitchell and C Walker are one step closer to having their coach sacked.
