What MJ has been accused of is not good, but they are accusations. He is only guilty of performance enhancing drug use, which in itself is not good.
If the club are happy to sign him, we back that. For all Robbo's faults, he has driven a fantastic culture at the club and if he thinks giving MJ a swansong to redeem his name against accusations (at this point, that's all they are), then this is where it stops. It's between their 4 walls at the club.
Once again the issue is the NRL being an absolute farce and lacking any cohesion, logic or consistency in decision making. If you don't want to acknowledge, don't allow him to be registered.

I’m ok with him having served his time for the drugs charges and all. But the DV charges are another thing and it does bother me. It’s not something I’ve brought up previously because there’s only a few of us ladies that post on here and I felt I would be outnumbered. As for the NRL refusing to honour his 300th, really they can’t have it both ways. He should not have had his contract re-registered at all then surely. They made the decision to let him play (which I don’t necessarily agree with), so why back down on this issue.

I was hoping to hear your opinion and perspective on this MR, and you write it well imo. I'm pretty sure the drug ban plays no part in this decision from the NRL. He's done his time for that, and if the NRL allowed him to play again after serving a drugs ban, then he's the same as any other player. And if that was all it was, then I reckon Abdo would be there to have his little ceremony. The problem is, and I know you refer to it as DV, but the problem is the sexual assault, and the fact he has not paid a single cent of the $490k damages ordered by the Court.
With the drug charges, same as with Xerri the other night, he has done his time and paid his penalty. For the other matter, he has not. And supposedly sold properties and hidden money to avoid paying what he should.
That said, I reckon Robbo and the club are spot on to sign him and explaining why the club signed him. Maybe Robbo's not as woke as Les Mis thinks he is? A truly woke person would have refused to sign him. It was a civil court matter also, so not the same level of proof required.
I think the NRL have this right, which is a rarity.

And Robbo saying Jenko wants to do it for his family is an absolute farce
Robbo bizarrely backing a Pride jersey for Women in League round is not so incongruous now … a proper woke knob

He's still gonna have played 300 NRL games whether Abdo likes it or not.
I like Robbo's comments around 'BEST VERSION OF HIMSELF'. IMO one thing a lot of the woke masses forget is that the boogie men they're cancelling are human beings with families.
My dad was a philandering wog who spent most of his time/money swanning around Italy, drinking wine, eating cheese and shagging young law/philosophy students (he was a professor of both and is known for his 'unique' methods). I don't think there's anything wrong with me remembering the best version of him (noting he also got an Order of Australia for his academic research & work with the Italian community). People can have good and bad sides. IMO those who don't are likely full of shyte!!!

No one is expecting anyone to be a Superman … but don’t dare mention the importance of family when a guy repeatedly abuses his wife. Draw the f*cking line. Super disingenuous … excessively liberal … you are indeed a part of the woke mob whether you realise it or not.
