    Who would you like?

    Who's better available?

Yes his salary is high; no question, however since the back end of last year he’s probably done more than our other back rowers, including both Butchers, Sitili & Wong. He makes quite good meters with nearly every carry and is strong in defence. Here’s a thought, maybe the halves at Souths put him into holes more effectively than ours do?

Maybe. But he's still not the same player he once was.

Upon re-evaluation, I'd be very happy for Smith to stay. He has been great this year.

Angus was very good tonight, I have to retract to some degree and say that.

So was Nat Butcher, whom I’ve been very critical of late. I’m glad he came good today and had a blinder. That makes it interesting with team selections going forward, with Gus and Nat B both playing well today and probably locking down starting spots. Wong is something special and will keep knocking on the door, but Sitili and Egan will struggle to make the top 17 give current form. A few headaches for the coach once Spencer and Sitili return.
Watson also had a blinder, but is it enough to secure the 14 spot over Sandon?

His good is very good, but his average is average. Quite a few commentators say his passing from dummy half is his weakness. I'm comfortable with him there, but I haven't changed my opinion that letting Sammy Verrills go was a mistake.

Verills was great value for money but we would not have signed smith is verills stayed on the field
his 10 games a year promoted the chooks to look elsewhere
he is only off the bench for titans atm so not sure how his form is going

was always a cheese fan from the start and thrilled he's staying. great game yesterday and loved the way he jumped on that loose ball, like a horse winning from 5 back 100m out from the finish.
he will help us win comps

With Keary and others leaving next year we need Cheese and Angus to stay otherwise we are starting to look like a Cup side for 2025. In form Angus is easily our best 2nd Rower The Cheeses passing could be better but the younger guys wont control the middle or defend like he does.

Cheese should stay his impact on the team and game is immense and it’s very noticeable when he comes off the field for a break, the whole teams energy goes down our attack is more clunky and less direct through the middle. If he can get his fitness levels improved to be able to play 80 minutes he would be up there as one of the best bookers in the game

                            Welcome to the Chookpen.

I'm leaving Rose Bay after 19 years in the area so I'm happy there is still representation on here.

I won't be far away however and every time I do move in the east, we win a premiership..

                            2002 and 2013...maybe 2024?

With Angus Crichton Coach Robinson isn't giving much away and is assumingly leaving it up to Angus to decide his future - Rugby or prove that he is worth retaining if he wants to continue playing league . There doesn't appear to have been any discussions about a new contract from the Roosters side
