There was more than one comment that was not based in fact.
Jennings has never been charged with rape by the police.
It's my personal opinion that Jennings should not have rejoined our club but I can't let potentially slanderous comments stand.
Jenko was found guilty of sexual/physical/emotional abuse by a court of law … which recommended criminal charges be laid by the state.
That is the simple truth.
What are we resigning him for?

To give you one more thing to blame Robbo for.....except like every signing it needs to be approved by Nick Politis.
It starts at the top Les! You should be aiming your frustration at the one who is aiding and abetting the coach- only he has the power to remove him!
Lets talk about someone who could replace him - not hypotheticals like Ivan Cleary- who 4 years to run on his contract, Wayne Bennett- understandably Nick hates him or Craig Bellamy who has said he will return to Qld and retire if he doesn't resign with Storm- none of them will happen.
We got Jason Ryles, Michael Maguire, Dean Young, Trent Barrett, John Morris. No use in elevating Justin Holbrook- he is already playing a large part in our attack. Talk is Des Hasler may be in need of a job soon....Brad Arthur too.
Have i missed any? Who would you pick?

Look at some trials in recent years.
"Victim says" was proven to be false.
The DPP is being criticised for prosecuting cases where the accused was found innocent.

I dunno MJ's financial position but I suspect his ex has shot herself in the boots by seeking this settlement because he doesn't have that kinda cash, but their house (which she may want to keep) would likely be worth a few million. Thus... if she's now gotta sell the house to get $500k, she'll be left without a luxury home and woulda been in a MUCH better position if she hadn't dragged him through the courts to 'prove' he's a bad guy as he'd have $$$ media/coaching deals to help pay for shyte.
Just my opinion but I reckon 'wins' like this are usually quite frivolous because people use the courts to 'prove' their side of the story without actually proving anything or thinking about the big picture (e.g. 'does he have that kinda money?!?' or 'what do I hope to gain if he can't work as a result or afford the sum I'm seeking? Will that mean he's gotta do a fire sale of shyte I wanna keep smack bang in the middle of a property slump with nobody wanting to touch it due to the media attention?')
I dunno them or their financial situation but IMO people need to remember this is purely a financial settlement and if he doesn't find a way to pay then that could be contempt of court (nobody's alleging that he's been found guilty of that BTW!!!) It's different though if he's saying 'my only way of paying is by selling the house... is TODAY while the kids are still at the local school, there's a property slump and you've got this media circus going on the best day to do that or can we sort out another kind of arrangement whereby you have equity in the house and get paid later on down the track?!?'
Just saying... my ex has always sought to bring me down whereas I've sought to get on with my life. Our marriage was shyte but seriously... shyte happens.
