The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce the contract extension of powerhouse forward Lindsay Collins for an additional two years.
Already signed to the Club until the end of 2026, the two-year extension ensures Collins will remain a Rooster until at least the end of the 2028 season.
“I consider myself very fortunate to put on the Sydney Roosters jersey and to represent this great Club. We’ve got a great crew here and I love coming to work every day, so to know that I will be a Rooster for at least the next four years is something I’m very proud of,” said Collins.
Player number 1170, 27-year-old Collins has made 94 first grade appearances since making his NRL debut with the Club in 2017 and has established himself as one of the most dominant front-rowers in the competition as a representative of both his state (Queensland) and country (Australia).
Head Coach Trent Robinson expressed his delight at securing Collins' services for the foreseeable future.
“Lindsay has been in our system for a number of years now and I’ve loved watching his progression from a young forward into one of the senior voices of our side,” said Robinson.
“His work ethic and his dedication to his craft and his teammates is second to none, and I have no doubt that he will continue to make a significant impact on and off the field in the coming years,” said Robinson

It's a proud moment for a Roosters supporter to embrace Lindsays journey to where he is now.
Shows the esteem he is held in by the club to resign him so early in the life of his current contract.
Not sure about the captaincy call, but he keeps raising the bar so you never know. He certainly inspires by his actions on the field. And is a devout clean living Christian off it.

GOOD! IMO he's our best and most consistent player. To have a bloke who dominates at Origin level like him on your books is always a pleasure.
No idea how we're gonna get ourselves outta this dip where we just seem to serve up cr@p. However, I think Collins is a leader who will (hopefully) survive the next decade or so of roster/strategic/personnel changes. A keeper and if we're not keeping him then something's rotten...Last edited by ism22; 04-10-2024, 03:23 PM.
