I know it really bothered Johnny on here as well.
It more than bothered me as I live very close by to where SKD was located that night. It will always give me the chills. I work from home full time these days and people would be horrified if they knew how many screaming sirens I hear on a daily basis heading up to The Gap. This is the real, harsh and gritty world we live in.

Someone very close to me was in a similar position at the back end of 2022 when they were hounded, harassed, gaslit and accused of doing something they didn’t do. People we don’t even know making them feel like garbage, all to make their insecure selves look good on social media.

I found myself reading a lot about what happened to Charlotte Dawson and the woman who originally trolled her too…women can be far more vile then men..and yes I can say this as I am the only one standing in my shoes…This behaviour can be very triggering for years to come and that’s why I feel very strongly about people being constantly hounded and smothered by people on social media. As a society we have learned nothing over the years..ask the Princess of Wales..either of them..oh wait..we can’t..The world would be a better place if people would just mind their own business, stay in their own lane and stop smothering others. Unless you know the person, have been an invited guest in their home for instance or spent time with their families over the years, you don’t know them and they are not your friends so you have no right to give testimony as to a person’s character.

Rant over..it’s game day people..stay safe everyone and be well.

I am sorry but I think his signing was always going to be extremely divisive and no matter what the club says it’s going to lose the battle of public perception. If Jennings had made some effort at paying the compensation it would be better. We read it wrong plan and simple.

the club investigated the details of the situation, the nrl approved the contract and - until hard evidence to the contrary comes up - that's good enough for me

I think Jennings will be a valuable
depth player and I understand why the club sort to help him, especially as a premiership player. I can’t make judgement on his civil matter. I just think any effort by us to defend the situation will fall on deaf ears and it will be a un welcome sideshow.
