There wasn’t a lot of space or angle from where he was to find touch. Was possible but a tough kick from where he was.

They should have run it out on the 4th tackle or put up a bomb on the 5th. Newcastle were basically in panic mode so there's a good chance it would have been fumbled or at the very least they'd have been pinned down their end.

AS it happens, Keary's useless kick effectively went backward based on where the next play the ball took place.

Well there was a mixed bag
some good attacking only let our selves down a few times with dropped balls and shepherd from our front rowers near there line
our defence was okay for most but missed a couple of really easy tackles from nowhere which resulted in soft tries
only players poor were Nat butch and sitili who didn’t get a chances - I would like to see critchon and Wong next week with Nat back tot he bench
Manu was huge again at fullback - why can’t we pay him more to stay
Su showed he is a winger only
rads and Gus are back to their best

Teams always turn up with their best footy when they play us. So we better get used to there being no easy games this year. Great to get the win but it could have gone either way. I think we were lucky especially that try disallowed with the obstruction against Keary.
