Maybe it isn't the most rational stance to take, but I feel like over the last few years, we've played our best football when our backs have been to the wall and we've had injuries. It's when people start writing us off that we really get going - I have a feeling it might happen that way tonight. I'll tip the Chooks, based on not much more then a feeling.

Please please please. Can we not be camped on our line for the first 20 and have no gas for the next 60.

How about we camp on the Knights line and we get the run of the green for once.

      We can do this.

I sure hope we can win as I could do with a little positive news right now to begin the weekend. I’m expecting effort and commitment for the entire 80 given last week’s Jekyll and Hyde performance. Hopefully Sutton isn’t in one of his penalty happy, 6a, 6a moods either. We need to get the season back on track!

I know it’s early in the season but with the Storm and Broncos coming up over the next few weeks I feel this is a must win game!

Hearing Robbo in the presser yesterday I have no doubt “Roosters footy” will get us home tonight lol

          Come on Easts!

I worry about Joey Manu though. This is the kind of game we really need him to step up for. But he doesn’t seem to be enjoying footy theses days. Doesn’t seem to smile much anymore.
Really? Did you see the second half last week? Did you watch the Vegas game?

It looks like Gerry doesn't love Newy too much. Overall win % for them under him is 40.5% (they are 47.2% overall), whereas our is 57.5% (55%).

We don't have much chance of winning the penalty count however. Surprise, surprise.

The fact that you have to pick and choose a couple of times when he’s got stuck in proves my point. What about the rest?

Don’t get me wrong I’m as big a fan of Joey as anyone. He just doesn’t seem very happy this year. The fact that he’s looking for a change tends to support that don’t you think?

I won’t see the game because I’m about to take off for an 8 hour flight to Manila.
It’s not going to be easy trying to get over Newcastle at home.
                  Go the Chookies.

A change only cause of more money. If we paid him the same he wouldn’t be going anywhere. No superstar is brilliant in every single game.

He might just be looking for more money. Or might be getting bored of getting bashed in the NRL every week and be looking to see the world and earn some easier coin overseas for a while. I could understand if it was the latter.

Anyway, may he smash up the knights tonight and make us all happy.

Let’s hope those stats follow the same trend tonight.

I reckon you are right. When really cornered it seems to bring out our best fight. Not sure if we are low enough yet though.

                          We certainly aren't great favourites.

Maybe complacency is less of an issue when we are struck by injury. Maybe it takes a few guys out to realise they’re going to have to put in. Beware of the wounded Rooster!
