Its more to do with Connor Watson pretty much not kicking the ball at all......If Sam Walker played then he shares the load with Kez and it would be more like 250 to 300m each.........

          And?

          I'll take a punt that it's good because it's 1m more than 550m

Or bad because it's 1m less than 552m

Imagine how many more he would have made if he actually had a kicking game?

His last kick of the game was brainless.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

It may shock some of you to visit the NRL stats page. We currently average the 4th highest for kick metres, with the 5th highest number of kicks per game.

It was an attempt to find touch and waste a few seconds. It didn’t work. Would you rather he put it dead or in the ingoal on the full?

For the record, Burton & Hutch kicked for just over 400m combined last night.

I also noted (for the “30m” brigade) quite a few kicks from just inside our half that were taken on the full inside Newy’s 10m zone. It makes a big difference when you have time & don’t have to elevate your kick over a rushing defence.

No, I'd rather a high middle of the field bomb with the Knights panicking to regather the ball. Even a 7 tackle set from the 10m line wouldn't have given them as much ground as they made in the subsequent play.

If they were worried about it going dead or out on the full, they could have run it into touch on the 4th tackle.

                            It's really that simple.

Not going to happen at this stage in his career but an extra 15 to 20 meters would make all the difference.
