  • The week ahead - bookies reckon we are 50:50 odds to beat the drizz

The Drizzle look like they struggled against the Doggies and the bookies have the result sitting at 50:50 right now.

How do you see this one playing out?

Storm have the runs on the board and we're struggling for form. However Teddy and Walker will probably return so we'll be a little bit less of a hodge podge (not that Manu struggled at FB!!!)

I'm an Easts fan so will never write us off before a game but IMO it'll be a tough contest coming off a narrow victory against the Knights and a loss to the Doggies. Is there something I'm missing that makes it even odds or is that just punters being punters?

No it’s bookmakers being bookmakers Melbourne have had a lot of narrow wins this year and look beatable

We are a very good side when on but Jeckyl and Hyde in you have no real idea what we will dish up on the field at the moment

      Is Teddy playing?
      Did Pappy get suspended?
      Let's see the teams first.

I think he just copped a fine if I heard correctly.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Yeah, I’d say it’s fairly even money. I think we’ve played quite well against them recently, and they certainly haven’t been much more convincing than us.

Possibly even the slimmest of advantages to us, due to playing in Sydney.

I'm surprised the bookies don't have them as favourites.
Being a home game has probably evened it up in their eyes.
But in saying that we should win depending on what team turns up, we seem to be unbeatable one week and then play a wood spoon favourite the next week and struggle against them.

Hard to produce odds without knowing the teams. They will fluctuate depending on who’s playing. Melbourne always seem to play well against us. They were probably complacent against The Family Club. Let’s get ‘em!

                Correct, $750 fine.

not against pappy playing, just the inconsistent rules around these hip drops, Victor 10min in the bin and found not to have a case, paps stays on, cops a fine.

Melbourne seem to save their best games against us,I’m not falling for the trap..

They should be favourites this week!

It’s not very often Melbourne beat themselves. We, on the other hand, are another story
