  • Has Sualli ever run into the backfield and made a line break?

or done anything else except score off a bomb occasionally or bat the ball back off a bomb occasionally ? And drop multiple defensive bomb takes that he shouldn't even go for?

    He's a fraud.

I was thinking the same thing. His brilliant debut season is fading away rapidly.

At least he kicks at 100% at Allianz, but if you're only going to score 2 tries, who gives a shit?

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Rooster 6 said last week said that he's the best winger in the comp for gods sake. Rooster 6 must be living in another universe. Good lord, just count the days until he's gone. I've never seen him threaten to do anything or even look like a guy who's a dangerous ball runner or a guy who could lay anything on for a support player, or for the money he's on, score a dynamic individual try. Ever.

        He is a fraud.

I never said he was the best winger in the comp, that is dishonesty on your behalf.

In terms of “laying something on for a support player” - he’s a winger FFS, who’s his support player? The touch judge?

            Suaalii is not the problem.

              You're right. For a 20 year old he's pathetic.

                Have to agree.

Been a long time since he’s done anything to justify the hype.

He is a better winger then centre
but it doesn’t say a lot
really I have never seen someone so overhyped and so average
we are paying him way overs at $750k it’s amazing rugby are offering him $1.5ml
liability in defence and offers very little in attack

                    Rooster 6 last week;

"Hes better than good, Suaalii could be the best winger in the game. Good chance he plays origin if Robbo leaves him there."

Big difference between could be the best and is the best. Thank you for proving my point even though I still don’t think you’ve clocked on.

Suaalii isn’t the problem. What do you want him to do when our playmakers don’t/can’t get the ball to him? We never even tried testing them out wide close to their try line.
                        EASTS TO WIN!

                          I agree.

However, I think part of the challenge is that we EXPECTED him to be plucking miracle moves outta nowhere on a regular basis.

IMO it's a valid criticism that he's not doing freakish linebreaks like Manu, whacking the ball up the middle like Toops or doing crazy athletic leaps/catches.

He's an okay winger. IMO we expected him to be a Manu clone, but with more height and athleticism. It's unfortunate because we pulled a LOT of strings to get him. He's okay but I think we expected a lot more from him on reputation.

My issue with calling all our players frauds when they fail to pull off miracles but are still doing OKAY despite drawing the Panthers, Broncos and Storm in the first 7 rounds is that we forget how bad things COULD be if we didn't have these guys.

JS is no miracle worker but who's your alternative? You've gotta work with what you've got sometimes and IMO he's still a great option.

I second this. Su runs hard every week and gives his all.

And yes, he did make a line break v Warriors last year.

IMO and will never happen, Suaalii would make a good hard running second rower. Would need to add some bulk but would hit the hole hard and challenge the opponents half’s all night
