6-0 to the Dogs, big prop 10m out went straight through the line.

6 penalties, so been pretty stop start so far. Hard to get a feel for who the better side as a result.

    Very windy.

Uini knocks on 40m out, Dogs play through their set without causing much trouble but then on the last get a grubber kick to hit the post and they get on the loose ball.

Looked like it may have been a knock on but ref didn't really have a good look at at it and touchies would've been blinded by the posts.

      12-0 to the Dogs.

Tait goes over in the corner, simple spread good hands from Toy.

        12 - 6 to the Dogs, 31 mins gone (35min halves)

Right on half time the Bulldogs 5/8 cuts through the line, very soft defence and goes in for an easy try.

          16 - 6 to the Dogs - Half Time

Penalty count really hurt the Roosters in the first half, lots were on yardage sets. Outside of that Dogs have struggled to get into good territory on their own (very reliant on their prop Seve for a good carry) so very simple fix in the second half. Halves look good for the Roosters, Sarfati looks likely too already cut them up once on a 50m kick return.

To be fair to them ref was been marking some wildly varying 10m, was one he dead set had them back 15-16m. Lucky its not a hot day.

Gould would be there watching on with a wandering eye and semi hard-on.

Thanks for updates, bummer that try before HT. Hopefully Rodwell can ignite us second half

                  16 - 12 to Dogs

I was late back for the second half so missed our second try but we almost just levelled it, good linebreak down the right hand side but just couldn't find the last pass.

                  Elliott has been impressive

The Bullodgs 5/8 Conti scores another very soft try with 15mins to go.

Roosters had made 4 linebreaks in their last 5 sets prior to a knock on 10m out that gave the Dogs possesion for the try but just panicking with silly last passes or trying to kick it instead of build pressure.

Knock on from Roosters 10m out, big set this one.

Tyreece Tait and Toby Rodwell just all class, these two in parituclar have been standouts.

Seve for the Bullodgs has been huge, looks their best.

Ref gives a very soft penalty with 12 to go, Dogs make it 24-12.

I have the penalty count at 9-2, Roosters haven't received a penalty since the 11th minute of the game.

Sucks that for the 2nd straight year the most dominant regular season team couldn't get it done in the finals.

Roosters knock on from the scrum, Bulldogs go in 3 tackles later down the left edge through a simple spread.

6 minutes to go 28-12 to the Dogs.

These young lads really mastered Roosters style footy today. Lopsided penalty counts and costly errors.

On the plus side I think we‘ll see a few in the blokes in flegg and even nsw cup in the next couple of months.

Dogs were red hot vs Eels last week and the Roosters are playing their first game in 3 weeks due to the bye before the finals and teams 1 and 2 having the first week of finals off

3 of the 4 teams that finished 1 or 2 have been eliminated so far with only Wests Magpies winning 8-6 vs Sharks in Harold Matthews Cup.
