  • Anyone see Dolphins Eels last night?

A team of castoffs and reserve graders missing numerous Origin players came out of nowhere to absolutely annihilate one of the comps better teams

Now that is what is called supreme coaching … for all of those Roosters who have actually forgotten what it looks like… even from 3000 clicks away … the Don didn’t even show up for the game

Dolphins had 6 players out. Yep fantastic. And guess what ?? - they scored the majority of their second half tries RUNNING STRAIGHT.

What about a Bennett / Burgess coaching combo for the mighty R W & B. Rock and Roll.

One has to say that Parra looked like a D-grade park footy side that just met each other 30 minutes before game time in that second half, conceding 40 points to the Dolphins. Pretty ordinary in the first half as well to only lead 6-4 at Oranges.

Bennett last won a comp in 2010 and had some pretty good sides when coaching at other clubs after that.

Hey Smithy, The Eels are looking for a new coach. It could be time for you to make a come back. Toddy can be your water boy.

Since 2009 when the Don joined the Dragons at the ripe old age of 59 …

The Don has taken 4 different clubs to the prelim … and 3 different clubs to the GF … outstanding … and what he’s done at the expansion Dolphins (hardly a glamour destination) with zero help from the NRL is equally remarkable

No coach guarantees a premiership … but what the Don does guarantee is a no nonsense hard arse football team … he is still the best coach going … and he is off contract next year

So the best coach at the best club? a perfect arrangement for all

It's fair to say that The Don Don has lost his mojo. His last premiership was 2010. The game has evolved beyond his coaching skill set plus he has no back bone.

                No thanks!

Even you could have coached those Bronco sides that Bennett had to win those premierships - It's not like he had average squads at the Broncos - very much in your words loaded squads that were chock full of SOO and Internationals.

Don’t understand all the Brian Smith hate…He was bought onboard to rebuild the side, which he did very very well …Remember It was Smith’s team Trent won the comp with…Pity his coaching went the way it did.

                        I assume you mean Bates

I have a lot of respect/feel sorry for Brian Smith

                          Tough crowd Salvo

90s/2000s Broncs were loaded … as the 6 premierships would suggest

Broncs in the Don’s 2nd stint were not that great

Appreciate you don’t like the bloke … no one does … but he is the Don for a reason … still the best coach in the game

I only watched the first half and thought both teams played very poorly. Had me thinking we could beat these two quite easily even with our current form.

Hey mate we're just goofing around. Respect for Brian Smith who was unlucky not to win a premiership.
