Oh right my ex-wife? She tried to murder me. As you sympathise with her actions, should I be scared that some random French dude's gonna shiv me in my sleep? :PLast edited by ism22; 04-22-2024, 11:32 AM.

Can we please chill the fark out? My thing's a nice glass of limoncello, some retro games and a good rant but whatever floats your boat really!
Robbo's not gonna get sacked. We're not gonna sign a whole new team. The season's not over in round 7 after losses to Penrith, Manly and the Storm.
Time to chill the fark out and move on from Thursday. I know Thursday night games make it a loooong farking week when it's a shyttie result but whatcha gonna do about it?
Ooooh look a possum (I'm out walking my corgis right now as they love nighttime strolls and the one thing that gets them excited is when a possum starts zombie groaning at us). Yeah grrroooooooaaaaaaw to you too mate. Yep. They've turned their heads up and walked right away from it. Good way to end this actually... be more like my corgis and not like me (I'm good at rambling whereas they're good at turning their noses up at distractions & moving on as if nothing's happened).
If we get beaten by "in-form 'Lethal Lomax' " and the Dragons, fans will have the right to demand change.
Jack Gibson used to start games with big players, to charge up the field knocking opp players aside and wearing out defences.
Then in the second half he would put on 'the runners' to make breaks and score tries.
Maybe we could try that.

Something has to change soon.1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

We lost narrowly with Teddy, Walker and Leniu out. Respect and all to Jennings, Dockar-Clay and Watson but how would that game have gone if instead the Storm had NAS, Hughes and Pap out against out against our full strength squad?
I just think it's a different world when we're constantly rotating through Collins, May, JWH, Leniu, Gus, Whyte and Watson (and have fresh big men the whole time... it's epic!!) Add to that Dom Young's speed and Walker's creativity. Different world IMO! To play that well without those boys was a credit to us IMO. It showed solid form!!!
Also... whatcha gonna say if we put a cricket score on the Dragons, then beat the Drongos in Brisbane? I can only place so much weight on us losing narrowly to Penrith and Melbourne!!! Yes results are all but they are the standard and we're not far off it.Last edited by ism22; 04-22-2024, 11:42 AM.

I don't recall these "runners" being brought on in the second half to make breaks and score tries, as back in those days there were only 2 replacements allowed and both had to play at least 1/2 a game in a lower grade (reserve grade/under 23's).

It's odd than someone as young as yourself recalls the great days of Jack Gibson. You are a lying troll and a sad little man.
I knew Jack Gibson from the mid-70s, but I've never revealed my age on here. I'm neither young nor old and have never lied on this forum - anyone with a modicum of intelligence and maturity realises it's a completely pointless thing to do. I am one of those people, whereas you are just a pumped-up, overinflated aggressive abuser of those you either don't agree with or who are your intellectual superiors.
Seek help, you need it before your affliction completely overwhelms and consumes you.
