  • Best Roosters Halfback Performance

Can anyone remember a better performance at half than what Sam Walker delivered on this special day? I can’t.

His biggest death rider Salvo tossing and turning in cold sweats right now. Keen for another stat debrief as to why Keary is numerically the better half. Goose.

Walker has deficiencies in his game, but this was him at his best. Don't have him organising the game, have the forwards win the middle, get bodies in motion/chasing his short kicks and just let him wreck havoc.

      Stellar performance.

10 goals from 10 attempts not to be sneezed at either. Bloody awesome display.

The defense that led to the Suallii try was like it was the 1st minute of the game. No cue in the rack our defense kept them hemmed in within their own 10m line.....that's some spirit.

Even Keary looked a better player today. Never underestimate the power of a running halfback. Brings to mind players such as Alfie Langer and Steve Mortimer. Keeps the defence 2nd guessing and makes the players around them so much more dangerous.

I just call it as I see it. Thanks.

Sam was awesome. I wonder if Robbo instructed him to kick short and early in the tackle count against a rushing Dragons defensive line. It worked a treat! Teams will now think twice.

Pointing out the obvious, ditch the organising/game manager style, which he is not suited to at this stage of his career and may never be, and get back to his running, passing, and kicking game.

It's good to see the whipping boys of some in Luke Keary, Nat Butcher, and the Dominator (Dom Young), for instance, star as well. Will their detractors acknowledge their performances today?

I think Sammy stole the car keys today. Good to see him demand the ball over Keary (who also had one of his better games).

When we dominate in the forwards, don't make stupid errors, and don't give away dumb penalties, our halves dominate.

But it's not often we can do that.

It's up there with Kurt Sherlock against the Broncos in 1991.

Seriously, unbelievable performance today. He'll be even better when he runs the ball more.
