A performance worthy of the best side in rugby league
Half the team got sin binned (hyperbole?) so not sure the air was out of the tyres. They lost the plot if anything.
I’m guessing you missed the part where some woke genius laid the table for our demise the eve of the game … but then in true fashion had nothing meaningful to say the following day when our captain got headhunted with impunity … indeed he blamed the players for the loss lol
Souths not only thugged us that day … as we fully deserved … but left with the higher moral ground
Most humiliating day in Roosters history … worst coaching performance I’ve ever seen … I joined the Chookpen the next day
You saying the Broncs had a 10 gallon hat? Careful buddy
That lineup doesn’t look that overwhelming … no surprise they only won by a small margin
Couldn't see your Wayne's World taking on the head coach role at the struggling clubs like the Titans , Tigers and or Bulldogs for instance and picking up spoons. He likes his squads extra stacked
Broncos had extra stacked squads in 1992/93/98/2000/2006 - 1997 Rupert League Comp was vasty inferior to the ARL one so Brisbane with their extra stacked squad was a shoe in to win it.

Well that’s not true … he’s coaching the expansion Dolphins right now … and performing well over the odds
Again … no worries if you don’t like the bloke … who does? but at least try for some objectivity
Mate Dragons hadn’t won a premiership in 30 odd years … you don’t want to give the Don any credit for that? Yes I know it was at our expense … but are we being objective here?
Robbo has in fact not been all about the Roosters these last few years … that has been obvious and that has been the problem … too fat and too luxurious … it would happen to just about any coach in his hallowed position
Now that reality has bitten him on the arse again … i.e., his position here is not guaranteed without suitable performance … which is pretty much what he asks of every player … I expect the team to play to its level this year … that is after all the bare minimum for any coach
I remember a former poster who used to say the same thing. Interesting.
People seem to forget that for most of the last 3 or 4 years the first-grade team has consistently had half the side missing every week. How would other clubs have performed given the same circumstances?
B.S....Biggest over exaggeration all year. Other than 2021 name some games where this was the case?

Objectively he under performed as the Bronco's coach.
When the Bronco's came into the comp in 1988 they were virtually the QLD SOO team.
It took 5 years to win their maiden premiership (Storm did it in their 2nd year) and for 2 decades the Bronco's had all of South East QLD to themselves.
I agree with you that he has done a great job with the Dolphins but don't underestimate the contribution of O'Sullivan's recruitment.

That’s an unusual/interesting take
But very difficult to consider 6 premierships an underachievement … especially with a salary cap
Broncs did have some great players … and a monopoly of sorts over QLD … but during much of the 90s and early 2000s QLD was second best

Hyperbole much?
As for the loss, you are saying that he "laid the table" for the loss with his woke attitude yet the players came out as fired up as we've seen in years.
Totally agree he should have shelved the pc comments post game but to say his pre-game attitude led to our demise on game day is not correct. If anything players like Radley and JWH went way overboard.
As for the woke comments, why is that people have to ram their ideological views down people's throats. Leave that term for Andrew Bolt or Ray Hadley.

It is perfectly true ... I have never seen the club so humiliated ... in a manner which goes well beyond a scoreboard
Any coach who tells everyone how much he loves to see the opposition's best player smile and that the crowd should go easy on him on the eve of the biggest game of the year should be shot ... in a sporting sense
As for your last point ... see my second point ... and if you are sensitive about that term perhaps you fall under the same absurdist yoke
All 17 of the Broncos GF team in 92 played for Australia. QLD must have been hopeless.
I'm sure if I bothered to look at their teams in 93,97,98 etc. the numbers would be similar.
If Robbo had 17 Australian reps in his team every year I'd be expecting the same results as Bennett.
NSW were the dominant team during that period ... that's a simple irrefutable point
Of course Broncs had some great players ... and some great teams ... they also had a salary cap
We are too diverse to have 17 Kangaroos ... but last time I checked ... we can lineup 17 international/Origin level players ... I'd expect similar results
