I'd definitely take Ponga if he wanted to play for us. IMO every single player is 1 injury (including head knocks) away from their last game.

Personal opinion... he's good mates with Watson and was offered money he simply couldn't turn down before he'd even played NRL During his career he's single handedly dragged the Knights through a heap of shyte where they otherwise woulda been long-term spooners. IMO Newcastle have held back his development and everything he's achieved has purely been on the back of individual brilliance.

If Ponga was keen on a deal to play centre while Teddy's boss (a lighter load on him + less need to carry the whole team), with him (plus possibly Manu) forming part of a long-term succession plan then I'd be all for it.
