I would rather a player with a niggle injury be rehab'd until full recovery.. Look how badly it turned out for joey manu playing previously with a calf strain ..ended up with a much worse injury and extended time on the sideline.

Funny, Sharks are on top of the comp and have only played one team in the top 8 (the Bulldogs), where as we have played 5 teames in the top 8 (soon to be 6 with the double-up on Broncos games).
We have also scarcely lost a game my more than 6, and we have the best Points For in the comp, and second best FA overall. It is interesting how that sort of perspective changes things. We also haven't lost to a team outside the top 8, although we've hardly played any.

Just found some of this a bit funny. We've certainly had a tough draw so far. It does seem to get a bit easier after this game, so it would be a highly valuable 2 points for sure.

Aging players and soft tissue injuries not a great combination.

On the other side, some suggestion that Haas and Staggs are in doubt.

Mmm feels a little like they have ruled him out to get his 300th for the chooks at home next week
will Keary be next to get his 150th at home?
toops is playing 249 this week so might get 3 celebrating milestones all next week at home! Let’s hope rads, sandon smith and sitili are available
                will be tough
as much as id like to beat a full strength broncos outfit at Brisbane haas and staggs out would even the ledger abit

Same and as somebody who's older than JWH, I'd be doing the same if (for example) I pulled my calf prior to a tune-up run when I'm prepping for a major event. Better to rest for a relatively insignificant milestone rather than to power through for no tangible benefit. JWH is great but it's a team game and if we get flogged then I dare say his presence wouldn't be enough to prevent it.

FWIW 2 weeks before my latest marathon I was sick (in bed with the flu for a week) and woke up one morning with a farking horrible leg cramp (which left me with pain for a few days - annoying as hell). Mentally I wanted to keep training but taking the week off made sure I got better for the big day instead of constantly whinging about minor, lingering symptoms.

I reckon that JWH has been withdrawn to celebrate his 300th with us with a win next week at home?

                      Or to avoid a suspension.

I recall Radley's game vs Brisbane in 2021 - sin binned twice and 4 times on report - So hopefully if Radley plays tomorrow night there will be no repeat of that night

I doubt the club has withdrawn JWH to celebrate his 300th at home. They will celebrate the milestone next week regardless.

Who in their right mind would sacrifice a potential two points so one of their players celebrates a milestone at home?

Should be a great game. Broncos will be desperate to get revenge for the loss in Vegas and we are fighting for consistency. Home game for them - so the crowd, ref and 50/50 calls will go their way. A tough ask to beat them but we desperately need to start stringing together a few wins or fall behind on the ladder like last year.
