I assume the thinking is to use Watson to give Smith a breather and to cover the halves if required. Personally I’d have Sandon in place of Egan as well, but I’m not the coach.

We have also scarcely lost a game my more than 6, and we have the best Points For in the comp, and second best FA overall. It is interesting how that sort of perspective changes things. We also haven't lost to a team outside the top 8, although we've hardly played any.

I'd imagine that Egan will be used as a middle, as he has in the past when we are short a front rower. I can't see Sandon replacing him on the bench.

As others prefer Sandon on the bench over Egan. May Sandon has a niggling injury or something.
