The burrow looks empty tonight. What happened to all those members? I wonder if Tallis will make any wise cracks about the lack of a crowd at souffs games.

People may forget the Roosters home attendances from late 80's and into the early mid 90's

We were at a Roosters vs Gold Coast Match where there was lucky to be 1000 people in attendance - They posted a crowd of 3700 odd - They must have counted arm and legs and people driving past the ground in cars, vans and passengers on buses.

I recall Penrith taking pictures of the Roosters home crowds and counting them too- I think that was during the period of reducing the number of teams in the merged ARL/Super League comps(20 teams) - home crowd attendance figures I think was one of the criteria

Interesting that you still consider him a good signing. I have seen on social media where his clubs fans have offered to chip into cover his airfare out here, providing he doesn't get a return ticket.

Middle of winter, freezing cold night, at Homebush, ...cost of adult ticket at Allianz ...Chooks v St George was $90.
Maybe the same at Homebush.

The carpark is horrible to exit post game.
Your team is on a hiding to nothing.
Unless I had a season ticket, I probably wouldn't have gone either.
Not much fun watching for 80 mins your team get thrashed.
Even with a season ticket I might've stayed away from that game.
Core of diehard fans, 4,000 to 8,000 sounds about right for most clubs.
One train of thought is..."there's no better way to send a message to the boardroom than an empty stadium".
