Sure it's Friday night in Brissy but frankly, Brissy were a bunch of whinging sooks last time we beat them and I can't see why we should now be their b!atches simply because they made the GF last year.
Screw the bookies. IMO there will be a solid fight and a win in Brissy could be a defining moment for our season.
The odds are Broncos $1.40 and us $2.97. That means the bookies think the Broncos are a 71.5% chance of winning, and we are a 33.6% chance of winning. Those add up to 105.1%, the 5.1% percentage amount over 100% is the bookies margin.
The line (or handicap) on the match, where the price for either side is $1.90. is 8.5 points, them the minus, us the plus of course. So the bookies think the most likely result is a Broncos win by 8-10 points
If they thought we were in for a flogging the odds would be more like $1.18 and $4.95, and the line would be 14.5 points.
And if you think we're a better chance of winning than 33.6%, you should bet on us.Last edited by Batemans Bay Rooster; 05-02-2024, 04:43 PM.

Haas and Staggs out. Dare say their absence will do more to Brisbane's chances than us missing JWH and Rads will do.
I'm not a betting man but I'll shout you all bottomless pasta, schnittties and Prosecco at Tony & Bill's if Klein and Sutton can prevent us from beating Brissy.

All they really have over us is the speed of Walsh and Mam, and Reynolds kicking game. It might be enough if their forwards can stand up to ours, but I doubt they can.
I think you hit the nail on the head.

Only 1 eyed Roosters supporters would say Teddy is better than Walsh but man Walsh is the most dangerous player in the game.
Their wingers are as good as ours their centres are just as good, Mam is deadly & Reynolds is up there with the best of them.
Their pack is better than ours.
If I had to make a side out of the 2 teams it would be
Walsh
Arthars
Manu
Cobbo
Young
Mam
Reynolds
Carrigan
Rikki
Crighton
Hass
Smith
JWH
8 Bronx
5 Chooks
I'll be very surprised if we beat them
Go the Roosters
I wouldnt be putting my rent free cardboard house on us.
