According to channel 9 Fifita has flew into Sydney & has met with Penrith about joining them. He has a player option at the Tits & has to round 10 to take that up. The JFH money now becoming available makes it more possible & Panthers want to find out his motivation et. Would slot straight in there & certainly keep them up the top for a few more years.

Yep and for those who doubted Gus & said 'move him on right away, he's past it' THIS is why you support a guy through mental health challenges. If he can fight through all the shyte he did (being tasered, arrested, scheduled, forced to take the wrong meds which farked him up...etc) then he'll not only be USTOPPABLE when he returns, he'll probably be loyal as well.

I’d much prefer Gus too, he’s been close to if not our best this year, and was pretty handy at the back end of last year as well. Happy for Fifita to take the other starting 2nd row spot though.

He is a lot like Latrell, can do things that most players can't, but can go missing.

If we are able to get him it would give us another impact player to help fill the hole that Manu will leave.

Gus is in career best form and arguably the best edge forward in the comp. Our left edge hasn't looked this good since Cordner retired. He's also the perfect chaperone for a small half. Big, strong, mobile, skilled and composed. We must do whatever it takes to retain him!
