  • Toia

Anyone know info on how he is tracking? Really keen to see him get some minutes and develop this year heading into pre season. Big chance to debut next season for us… and Lewis Murphy? How is he tracking…

Robert Toia - No return date - being cautious with his rehab and return due to it being his second ACL - 9 to 12 months - suffered injury mid September 2023.

Hugo Savala - Calf - Return vs Raiders in round 12

Lewis Murphy - Scaphoid Fracture - will be out for 8 to 12 weeks

How does one do that? It looks like an unusual place to get a break?

Putting your hand out to break a fall and the palm impacts the ground with your full weight on it. Did one slipping over on a boat ramp.

don't ask me lol. i think i fell on it at an awkward angle but didn't feel much and then after a sleepless night went to get it checked and ended up in a cast for a few weeks

after so many big injuries, does heirarchy at chooks have that much hope that toia can realistically play first grade in the next couple of years at required level?

I did the same thing after falling over on a tennis court. I should have known to roll rather than plant the palm of my hand on the ground to break my fall. And then I did the other wrist after falling across a hotel room coffee table in the dark. I couldn't roll to break my fall because I had a cup of coffee in my other hand. Barely spilt a drop though, but the wrist took forever to heal, I needed a cortisone injection.

Surely there's a few chalk-boned individuals that have got massive question marks beside their names by now.

Well they’ve wasted a spot on Billy Keenihan-Smith , who’s never going to reach a reliable,NRL week in week out level, so can’t see them doing different to him considering our poor outside depth.

Talent wise this guy was rated as similar to Isaiya Katoa who’s currently killing it. This is his second major injury, on a separate acl. Players do make recoveries, aka Lindsay Collins, Teddy, Radley. Buuuuut each person is different, I really hope he does, last year in Reggies in his limited games he was an 18 yr old bullying fully grown men
