Anasta will not get dropped to Newtown for sure, but I think what will happen is they will move Anasta to the 2nd row and then sub him after 25 mins and only give him limited game time. I see this happening for the rest of the year whether we like it or not....

The less time he spends on the field for us the better even if it means a waste of a bench spot

Funnily enough, anasta made more yards for the same amount of hitups as cherry evans. But saying that, DCE is a ball player and gives his side a lot more direction. Foran almost beat both of them for meters gained with just 15 minutes of game time lol

I have to agree with most of what has been said so far, except the bagging of maubs. I think he was a little quiet today and would definitely like him to be more involved but i think he had some good runs, made a few half-breaks, put a couple of good shots on and made some important tackles. I think Pearce is the best suited captain to replace braithy boy, but I wouldn't be gutted seeing the 'C' next to maubs' name

I thought both our back rowers did a number on Lyon and Matai. IMO it was pretty competitive on both edges but our mobile back rowers held two of the best centers in the game and did some good work for our inexperienced centers in defence.

Maubs was heavily marked, always surrounded by 3-4 woManly players, but still on a few occasions he looked to slip thru the line.

IMO he's suffered in attack of late cos Pearce has been going left a lot more and he's had to deal with our 5/8 and craptian and his shit.

I think either Pearce or Maubs would be a good choice as captain. I really think Maubs is a victim of circumstance this year. He was chucked into the centres early on when he's better suited to second row and lately he just doesn't get any quality ball. Maybe he should park himself on the left hand side of the field and look for a gap on a three metre blind side. That's obviously where we like to attack!
