Nobody is claiming Tagive is a superstar, just that our backline is (one of) the slowest in the NRL and something that needs to be addressed before we can become a premiership threat.

It must really piss the forwards off when they slog their guts out in the middle, only to see a clueless winger (who only has to make a few tackles each half) have absolutley no idea how to mark up in defence when he finally gets called upon to make a regulation tackle !
We had the defence there, simple one on one marking, and the clueless fool allows his winger on his outside for an easy try when there wasn't one there for the taking ....mate I was ropable when I saw that !
When was the last time we had a winger who gave us confidence in his ability to read the defence and consistently mark up and regularly make tackles he was expected to make .... Matt Sing ? Jack Elsegood ? Bill Mullins ? Brian Bevan ?
It's been really frustrating with our procession of inept defensive wingers over the past decade ! ...and Tagive would appear to be just the next in line

You replied to me when I said Friend is not up to the mark, words to the effect of "thats why he was given the Jack Gibson player award".
The sooner Friend is interchanged with Mitchell the better.

You may be right regarding BJ playing well anyway. Although it seems pretty obvious to me that we have had extra space on Tagive's side of the field with teams hanging back. The only reason we lost today is because Manly kept compressing their defence and our halves were too inept to threaten the fringes. The last time that happened in a game Pearce put a kick behind the line on Tagive's side and they shit themselves and hung back for the rest of the game.
I don't necessarily believe Tagive is the answer btw. Just that having extra speed on the wing gives our halves more attacking options providing our halves are good enough to utilise those attacking options.
