I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that when Robbo convinced him to come back, he told him he would make him a SOO 14.

Along with Aubo, Friend & Cordner who came into first grade around the same time as Pearce they played a big role in helping build the side into what it was and it’s good to see Robbo understands their value.

Although if you don’t get it you probably never will, different values.
Your just rattling off some sort of feel good stats.

He probably played a couple of years too long here. He was ineffectual. He wasn't doing the role he was paid for.

Of course he tried hard, its what you do when your being well paid & in the spotlight at a high profile club.

Then there's all his unprofessional off field rubbish & drama to deal with.

What don't you get when an overpaid underperforming player is punted for a total professional who brings in proper standards & immediate success.

He was offered to stay when Cronk came but his so called loyalty quickly disappeared & then thankfully became Newcastle's problem.

Also to add... Aubo, Cords, & Friendy did their jobs superbly & are considered great clubmen & good blokes.

        Pearce however............

Interesting how we gave away 0 to 3 in the first half and then gave away 8 to 0. Quite the turnaround.

          • Pearce has grown up, loves the club and has plenty to offer. He's won a comp, played 300 plus 1st grade games and has played rep footy. He may turn out to be a better halves coach than Cronk. Great players don't necessarily make great coaches.

The Club and Uncle Nick believe in Pearce and have offered a him a job. This speaks volumes about his character.

That's great for this new chapter & role he has back at the Roosters post playing days.

I'm just saying it was justified in him being punted as a player & don't have any regret in him leaving back then as some do.

They would be stupid not to pick him. Can play in so many positions in that lineup off the bench. Added bonus that he has hit a purple patch in terms of his form.

                    Would we expect anything less.

                    • Watching live was very stressful.
I wasn't even relaxed at 22-nil......................................I was waiting for the game managers square ups and I wasn't disappointed.

Like I said different values, we will never see eye to eye on the matter so I'll agree to disagree.

                        • Manu was simply outstanding yesterday, another reminder of what we will be missing next year.

Pearce is one of my all time favourites. Think I had an even softer spot for him because he was always bashed in the media.

And you’ve crawled out from under your rock to yet again to take a pot shot at someone. Do you ever add anything constructive, or are you just an angry little man?
