Along with Aubo, Friend & Cordner who came into first grade around the same time as Pearce they played a big role in helping build the side into what it was and it’s good to see Robbo understands their value.
Although if you don’t get it you probably never will, different values.
He probably played a couple of years too long here. He was ineffectual. He wasn't doing the role he was paid for.
Of course he tried hard, its what you do when your being well paid & in the spotlight at a high profile club.
Then there's all his unprofessional off field rubbish & drama to deal with.
What don't you get when an overpaid underperforming player is punted for a total professional who brings in proper standards & immediate success.
He was offered to stay when Cronk came but his so called loyalty quickly disappeared & then thankfully became Newcastle's problem.

Pearce has grown up, loves the club and has plenty to offer. He's won a comp, played 300 plus 1st grade games and has played rep footy. He may turn out to be a better halves coach than Cronk. Great players don't necessarily make great coaches.
The Club and Uncle Nick believe in Pearce and have offered a him a job. This speaks volumes about his character.Last edited by Bates; 05-13-2024, 10:55 AM.

I'm just saying it was justified in him being punted as a player & don't have any regret in him leaving back then as some do.
