Is there a video of this interview?
Only a few lines have been quoted. I'd like to see if his comments were taken out of context.

Don’t like this going to the media. Let’s hope it gets sorted quickly.

That article was a swift kick in the teeth to Robinson and think we will get a clear indication of what the club will do when Robinson fronts the media this week.

His form has been very inconsistent ever since he arrived, we didn't see Tupou carrying on every time his contract was up for renewal despite playing well for the last few seasons.

Off-contract Sydney Roosters backrower Angus Crichton has sent a clear message to coach Trent Robinson, declaring he won’t play second fiddle to David Fifita.

The Roosters landed a signing coup last week when Fifita inked a four-year deal worth around $3.3 million from season 2025.

Crichton, like Titans powerhouse Fifita, plays on the left edge and wants to keep that position.

“I don’t want to be sitting behind anyone,” Crichton told reporters.

“If there’s an opportunity that makes sense (elsewhere), then I’ll definitely look at it.

“I’m not going to rush it, especially with the Fifita stuff that’s come out now.

“That’s a good enough reason for me to take my time, and make smart decisions.”

The in-form backrower, who is in line for NSW Blues selection, revealed the club’s move to recruit Fifita left him feeling confused about his future with the Tricolours.

The Roosters had indicated a desire to keep Crichton but the addition of Fifita could complicate contract negotiations.

As well as Fifita, Robinson also has an abundance of backrower on his roster for next season, including Egan Butcher, Siua Wong, Nat Butcher and Sitili Tupouniua.

Crichton’s management has been in discussions with the club and met last week, but the 28-year old insists he is yet to hear personally from Robinson.

“I probably won’t go looking for him (Robinson), but if he wants to talk to me he knows where to find me,” Crichton said.

“It does make you question where their head’s at.

“No one’s talked to me, which is funny.

“Last I heard they were keen (to re-sign me), but then obviously that (Fifita news) came out. It’s an interesting one and something I’ll have to monitor.

“All I can do is play good footy and keep putting my hand up to be there on the left.

“No one’s talked to me, and I’m not sure if they will.”

It’s understood South Sydney have expressed interest in bringing Crichton back to the Rabbitohs, where he made his NRL debut in 2016.

Crichton is mulling a move to French rugby union, where he has been in talks with Montpellier but the club is facing relegation and sitting second last place on the ladder.
I love Angus as a player and credit him for the way he has bounced back this year and become a top line back rower again..

But reading his comments in the above mentioned article is not a good look to be fair, and I’m sure the Club would see it the same way..

Don’t forget the Club stood by you through tough times Angus, stay humble my friend..

Poor form for Angus to say that publicly, the club has stood by him during last year with his biopoloar/mental heatlh diagnosis.

Angus told us he's probably going to union and now it's, management fault for acting on that?

Hmm...two minds. Maybe Gus shouldn't have aired his disquiet publicly. But on the other hand I get him being pistoff at the Fifita signing, and no offer made to court himself.

Typical NRL tabloid media - no journo credited, all part of trying to destabilise the team and club and take the focus away from yesterdays outstanding performance.

Yeah I can't blame him for feeling a bit hard done by but honestly be a man and talk to Robbo. Don't cry to the media. Can't blame us really, Gus was ordinary last year. I still hope we retain him, surely one can play on the right.

Exactly. He was pretty vocal about his union aspirations not too long ago. What if Fifita signed with riff and Gus decides to leave anyway, then we would've missed out on a coup for no reason.

If not for the club, he'd be like former Roosters second rower Chad Robinson, not soon to be former Roosters second rower Angus Crichton. You can never quite wash the Rabbit shit off, like Craig Pink Panties Wing before him.

He wants to go back to that rabble then don't let the gates of Alliance hit you in the arse on the way out.

Did he actually say all that?

If so, his psychological stability is still in great question. Very sad.
