Not as consistent as Nat and Egan is relatively young so he has a lot of upside to his game.

“That’s a good enough reason for me to take my time, and make smart decisions.”

Agreed. And by the sounds of things that will require the help of loving family members and optimisation of his meds.

If the quotes are accurate, after the club stood by him being a zombie for over a year, if he continues in this vein I have no doubt Nick will cut him loose.

I hope this news article has been taken well out of context
I thought the club would have something for Angus, and happy to let sitili go instead as we have the cash
          11. Gus
          12. Fifita
          13. Rads
would be the best backrow in the comp
unfortunately if this is true Gus might have some questions too be answering to robbo, and I hope this doesn’t make the roosters put a line through him! Disappointing if true as the club stuck by his inconsistent form and stuck by him last year paying $700k for someone not playing!
It seems odd as every story is totally different some saying he is going, some staying! Some we have had an offer then others not so until it comes out what he is doing who would know

It never seems a straight forward process with Angus, others like Lindsay, Nat Butcher, Wong, both Smith's, Sitili even Toops just get new contracts done without much media attention.
His last contract took ages to go through with rumours of St. George being interested which Saints denied.
This time his manangement is pushing Rugby Union interest as they did last time as well.
So the Roosters said OK we can get someone better and they did.
Can't have 45 backrowers in the team.

I would be gutted to lose Angus but if thinks there’s better opportunities out there he should go…..as long as it’s not souths
It could also backfire on us.
We start signing players at the expense of others then players might have second thoughts about coming here.
If I sign will they cut me a drift when someone better comes along.

It's not the first time it's happened.

Although not the worst comments I still thought it was pretty poor from Gus considering how the Roosters and Robbo especially stood by and supported him through his troubles Last year.

Knocking your employer publicly isn't the best look.

He's forgotten that he's been a dud for 2 years prior to his current form.

I recall somewhere something than no one's irreplaceable.
Doubt it (interview) will go to well with those who count.
                    Could be Latrell MK 11.

I didn't want to go there. But yes.

Those comments are so disappointing from Angus Crichton. He's always carried himself with so much more class than that.

Feels like the club and team are building something special this year but that was a real selfish outburst to ****ing News Ltd of all organisations. Maybe he's forgotten some of the rumours those journalists indulged and hinted towards whilst the club had his back all last year.

Never saw Boyd Cordner complain about having to come off his left edge to play in the middle when the club needed him to. Never saw Mitch Aubusson complain about not getting to play his favourite position, never seen Joey Manu complain about the club signing Tedesco, JWH came here wanting to be a second rower but ended up doing the right thing by the club and became one of the all time great front rowers.

Because that's a team and club first mentality. That's why they're legends, it's a different mindset.

Put simply that was a selfish, childish tantrum. Anyone asking for context is in denial.

Feel however you want, no one can deny you that but wise up ffs. This is disruptive to the club after such a good month for all the supporters.

I would like to see the full interview and she how candid if any he was saying it but it doesn't read well.

After all the mental health issues he put the club through if what was said happens to be true then screw him..

Exactly things change quickly in the nrl and the roosters move quick with the times too
like signing Cronk or getting Teddy, Keary and others to replace key guys
last year he was heading to rugby until Aus rugby pulled the offer
he was always going at the start of this year, then he hits form and the club looks at him again, no one new or though Fifita would come a few weeks ago then became available and we jumped on him! Same as Gus we could still throw an offer and him and also allow sitili or Egan to look elsewhere
but after what he has served up and what the club has done for him I hope it doesn’t taint the season
the boys are smiling and enjoying getting around each other with some good performances on the field
if Angus wanted a contract done earlier maybe some 2023 form may have helped

Ease up, I bet most of you were cheering hard for him the last few weeks.

What’s he meant to say? - “Here’s the 11 jersey mate”

What if Fifita isn’t coming to play left edge but starting middle, replacing JWH? He’d be a top alpha. Same with Angus
