What if Fifita isn’t coming to play left edge but starting middle, replacing JWH? He’d be a top alpha. Same with Angus
He’s meant to repay the faith the Roosters put in him supporting him with all his off field dramas and inconsistent form - by shutting up, and letting it play out behind the scenes. Instead of babbling to the media and making comments like he has.

There is also more chance of Cronk coming out of retirement to partner Walker next year than Fifita playing anywhere but the second row for us.

He didn't put anyone though mental health issues. He suffered them.
I believe most on here forget how they would react if their employer bought in someone else to do your job without explanation.
While Angus reaction should not have been made in pubic it is a more than understandable reaction nether less.
I certainly hope we can still resign him as he is a great asset to the team

I expect him to act like a professional and have this conversation in private with the people who can give him the answers he’s after.

What if the plan is to play Fifita on the right edge? He’s a right hand carry, a right hand offload and steps well off both feet… it’s probably the way I’d be leaning if I was Robinson.

Why is everyone not understanding that 2-3 months ago he expressed his desire to go to UNION. What is the club supposed to do - not go out and look for a better replacement because he has a few good games and now might want to stay?

Feels like the club and team are building something special this year but that was a real selfish outburst to ****ing News Ltd of all organisations. Maybe he's forgotten some of the rumours those journalists indulged and hinted towards whilst the club had his back all last year.

Never saw Boyd Cordner complain about having to come off his left edge to play in the middle when the club needed him to. Never saw Mitch Aubusson complain about not getting to play his favourite position, never seen Joey Manu complain about the club signing Tedesco, JWH came here wanting to be a second rower but ended up doing the right thing by the club and became one of the all time great front rowers.

Because that's a team and club first mentality. That's why they're legends, it's a different mindset.

Put simply that was a selfish, childish tantrum. Anyone asking for context is in denial.

Feel however you want, no one can deny you that but wise up ffs. This is disruptive to the club after such a good month for all the supporters.
I found the interview very interesting

Sounds to me like he doesn’t have much of a relationship with the coach … and that communication is poor … also sounds like he wants to continue playing for the club … but feels blindsided we’ve gone and signed a marquee guy who plays his position without a word … sounds like he feels he’s being pushed out the door … which appears what is happening

Our form has been excellent recently … and Crichton has been a massive part of that surge … quality player … I don’t want him playing elsewhere … Fred Flinstone or not

Is his manager on holidays or on crack? How can this be happening? A top tier player who is arguably in career best form has absolutely no idea where he's playing next season. Farking amateur hour!

I will still be cheering for him whist he is playing at this level in the RWB,but it doesn’t excuse the fact that his comments to the media weren’t good enough and could potentially cause more harm than good for the team!

                    He needs to be better..

I agree it’s not good that this has been aired in the media. I understand Angus being upset with being left in the dark on the Fifita signing. In the club’s defence though I’m pretty sure it was mentioned quite a few times in the past by Robbo that he had no idea what Gus’s intentions were going forward. My recollection could be wrong though. So perhaps there’s a lack of communication from Crichton’s side as well. I would like to know if he’s comments about Robbo knowing where he is and to come find me was said tongue in cheek or with a tinge or of sarcasm because if it’s the latter, then that’s a worry.

Not sure how someone can feel like they’re being pushed out the door when by his managers own admissions he was already out the door last year if not for a breakdown in negotiations with Rugby Union Australia at the last minute.

What next? The horticulturist graduate is aggrieved he has to work outdoors all day?

Interesting they actually have abit of a shot at Angus
say the club is still keen to sign him just havnt offered yet
and they are also looking to potentially move sitili on
one person has abit of a go at Gus saying he never went out in the media about his rugby deal and was leaving the nrl only a month or 2 ago but now comes out after some good form and has a shot at the chooks who took care of him last year
i can see why he is worried but talk to the coach behind closed doors don’t open it up
wonder who his manager is? Maybe just saying this to get other clubs interested and shop him off against these offers

Mate I think both would be fine on the right edge, I just think Crichton takes a lot of pride playing in Cordner’s spot given his legacy and friendship with him.

I just think of the way SBW played on that right edge, both have a similar right hand flick offload and he’s moving over to an edge where Manu used to play a lot of unstructured footy for us already so it’s not going to be a massive adjustment in style of footy IMO.

Yet we’ve been accommodating a couple of guys who are heading off to union soon? seems to me there is something different going on here

Pearce naturally felt disrespected when we signed Cronk … but the coach at least sat down with him and explained … nothing like that going on here … which appears is what bothers Crichton the most

Sounds like the coach has been trying to push him out for awhile … which is bizarre … because he’s the best edge forward at the club by a country mile … we absolutely need him this year … coach should be doing his best to keep him onside … regardless of next year

Are you incapable of having a discussion on here that doens’t involve driving your agenda against Robinson.

What did he do to you?
