Unkle the Roosters to treat a player disrespectfully during negotiations, generally up front I would have thought.

If these stories are true, perhaps Angus hasn't been as upfront and honest with the Roosters as he would like to have us believe. Do Robbo and Uncle Nick know more about Angus's goings on than Angus would like. Maybe Angus and his Manager feel the need to change the narrative. in order to maintain the good guy image.

I hope not, If he is and has-been above board, I hope he resigns. If there is some kind of simple misunderstanding, I hope it gets sorted. It all seems a bit odd though, a little bit familiar.

He didn't put anyone though mental health issues. He suffered them.
I believe most on here forget how they would react if their employer bought in someone else to do your job without explanation.
While Angus reaction should not have been made in pubic it is a more than understandable reaction nether less.
I certainly hope we can still resign him as he is a great asset to the team

Has Angus ever mentioned the Robbo? What "methods" are you talking about? Did he even say they weren't getting on? Your anti-Robbo mindset has become a obsession

No current player has the right to know who the recruitment team- headed by Nick Politis- are chasing.

If anything the club has been really good to Angus-especially last year, but he owes the club nothing and 4 weeks of good form doesn't mean the club owes him anything.

The fact is the club has signed a player who is better than any of our back rowers and is only 24 years of age- they are doing their job.....just like when Angus and his management were looking at going to rugby union. Angus wasn't concerned about leaving the team at that time- he wasn't asking "where's my offer to stay"- however if the union offer didn't go cold he was out the door. Les you weren't calling for the club to sign him then because he was out of form.....-and you react to everything that happens in a short term. Wasn't that long ago you were telling us what a coach like Andrew Webster could do with our roster. He was flying at the time, but now he is off your radar.

Angus was originally going to rugby before 2024 and chooks were okay with him leaving his contract elsewhere for a longer one with rugby
the deal didn’t eventuate so he stayed! He was still going to rugby at the start of the year and now he has made his intentions know he now wants to stay

Yeah credit where it’s due Brent Read has defended the club, you’re exactly right Roosters want him no denying that, then I believe it’s Wade Graham that’s has a shot at Gus saying a month ago you were all but gone to French Rugby why didn’t you come out and tell the media that? Which is 100% correct.

Recruitment nor the Coach haven’t bungled anything, they have gone out and signed the most damaging forward in the game because it is unknown on what Angus’s next move is, he’s come out had a whinge (and that is all that this is a whinge) over nothing he’s played three good games in 18 months and sounds as though he still has a lot to work through on a personal level, coming across as very ungrateful kicking stones, whoever is giving him this advice has all the makings of the Latrell fallout.

As a previous poster has said we have a lot of cattle moving on and a lot who have resigned without a fuss, Joe Rugny perfect example has he come out and kicked stones? No has he been mistreated? I highly doubt that.

Gus take your meds, shut your mouth and keep working you haven’t earned a contract extension yet, keep the form up and and you will be rewarded, my opinion of him has dropped significantly, loose lips sink ships, we are flying atm and this clown comes out and says that, all it does is give those cancerous journos fuel to ignite the fire, bloody hell Angus foolish of you.

He's made a habit of being a bit of a moaner. Remember when he first signed, as a wide-running backrower, Robinson immediately made him play in the middle. Crichton spat the dummy and played like a busted for several weeks and reportedly wanted out. He eventually came good when he saw how playing in the middle had toughened him up and rounded out his game.

Be interesting to see how it pans out. I hope he stays, but won't be devastated if he doesn't.
