You wouldn’t see this behaviour from players at the storm talking about Bellamy / ponisi and the storm system! I hope someone gives critchon a little reminder of what the chooks have done for him - that or the silent treatment
I’d be happy to re sign him for 1 year, maybe 2 max (and how about we dictate it with a club option so if he is not performing we can let him go early!) add in for the club to decide for him! Put that in his mind as he magically appears to come good again in an off contract year and Origen around the corner
read and graham said we have plenty of cash and we know we do, it’s more roster management as they are also juggling moving sitili on so there is not so much money tied up in back rowers and can use it elsewhere!
after some good weeks on the field and celebrating player achievements seems a little bit selfish and would expect a 28 year old to handle things better

I have been saying for ages that it's best for both parties for Angus to move on.

His talent has never once been questioned, it's his attitude and consistency. He has been playing well for a few weeks, he always has these periods where he looks like a world beater. He is playing for a contract with a chip on his shoulder. Of course he's going to play well. The issue is if we re-sign him, does he go back to looking like a passenger again? Would he be happy to move to the right edge? He is a better option than Sitili but doesn't have the consistency in defence that Nat Butcher has. Wong was the second coming only a few months ago, now he seems on the outer. Could be worth giving him a shot. He hasn't come out and whinged since being dropped.

I see his future in French rugby, I don't care if he stays or goes to be honest. Fifita is better than him, the club think so aswell.

Move him on to Newcastle and we’ll take ponga off there hands now they are in 3rd party trouble, should work well with Sammy in the halves

Yeah that's pretty spot on. Right now he is in fine form and he is a very good player. I thought this would be Wongs breakout year too but not so far.

No current player has the right to know who the recruitment team- headed by Nick Politis- are chasing.

If anything the club has been really good to Angus-especially last year, but he owes the club nothing and 4 weeks of good form doesn't mean the club owes him anything.

The fact is the club has signed a player who is better than any of our back rowers and is only 24 years of age- they are doing their job.....just like when Angus and his management were looking at going to rugby union. Angus wasn't concerned about leaving the team at that time- he wasn't asking "where's my offer to stay"- however if the union offer didn't go cold he was out the door. Les you weren't calling for the club to sign him then because he was out of form.....-and you react to everything that happens in a short term. Wasn't that long ago you were telling us what a coach like Andrew Webster could do with our roster. He was flying at the time, but now he is off your radar.
No more posts before 6am for you

Did you even read the article? Crichton didn’t reference the coach? Crichton doesn’t deserve respect? I have never rated Crichton? I like Andrew Webster?

Who is this ‘the Robbo’ anyway?

            This is pure delirium

            Get some rest

Could you imagine Ponga in our team. We'd be unstoppable!

Did you see him last night? It looked like he hadn't slept since the Fifita signing.
He thought he found another great angle. If Fifita has 3 years left at the Titans at $1M a season and the Roosters have offered $3.3M over 4 years then he is playing that 4th year for only $300K.
He had to repeat it half a dozen times like he has busted us for a cap rort. You could just see Buzz say STFU you idiot under his breath, The guy is literally a meathead.
Anasta then chimed in and said he played at the Roosters for less because of the connections he had at the club for his future. Said it helped him with investment advice and he wouldn't have his job at Fox either. Said he speaks to Nick nearly every day.

Yes I did. It was a classic. His arguments were mind boggling especially the one about us only paying him $300k in his final year. Also I did notice the unshaven look. Poor guy must be losing sleep knowing the Roosters ‘stole’ one of his men.

Sounds to me like he doesn’t have much of a relationship with the coach … and that communication is poor … also sounds like he wants to continue playing for the club … but feels blindsided we’ve gone and signed a marquee guy who plays his position without a word … sounds like he feels he’s being pushed out the door … which appears what is happening

Our form has been excellent recently … and Crichton has been a massive part of that surge … quality player … I don’t want him playing elsewhere … Fred Flinstone or not
This time last year Angus was headed out the door to rugby only for the deal to fall through. Did he want to go to rugby or was he being pushed?

Someone in the backrow has to go. I think he was gone but his recent form has everyone wanting him to stay. I would prefer we let Sittili go.

                        • He seems convinced if a club offers “overs” like the Titans did then this is their market value and a player must accept the most amount of money. The market does not work like that, the auditor sets a minimal price and as Anasta said there are intangible reasons a player chooses a club. ( coaching staff, lifestyle, family, childhood club, life after football)

What’s the problem if Crichton is interested in going to play union? I believe we’ve already got a couple of blokes who are about to do exactly that

Crichton is a premiership winning NSW and Australian rep Rooster … regardless if we extend him or not … it should not be that hard to keep him onside … we need him this year

I would like it if one of the other three asked Gorden what he was doing back in 1996. Because he wasn't playing for the St George Dragons, even though he was contracted to them. He took the money and ran to Brisbane.

So to hell with him and his opinions.
