surprising outburst from angus. can't see it disrupting the club this year - there's too many players leaving to interfere with the desire to win a comp but he's clearly unhappy. no doubt they'll sort it out and i hope he stays but we need to move a back rower on and angus's form over the last 2 years hasn't been 800k+

At least we'll know to take him at his word in the future. People can speculate all they like and try to read between the lines, but Crichton simply answered the questions.
We need more of it I reckon.1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

he was being honest about how he feels but not honest about his situation. can't blame the club for going after a superstar when angus has been talking about leaving the club for a while now

Did you even read the article? Crichton didn’t reference the coach? Crichton doesn’t deserve respect? I have never rated Crichton? I like Andrew Webster?
Who is this ‘the Robbo’ anyway?
This is pure delirium
Get some rest
Every player deserves respect but the nature of the game is you don't have to consult players about who you are recruiting. Angus might need to go and ask Nick where the club stands on him-after all its Nick who has the final say.
Sorry i dont recall you rating Crichton- i may has missed it considering that most of your posts are negative-besides the face saving threads you start when the boys have a win

I reckon the only way Angus will be still with us in 2025 is if he and his manager have already been to Robbo and Nick and apologised that he somehow missed a few doses of meds (not just one).
Otherwise it's appalling behaviour on his part, after the extremely sympathetic treatment he's received by the club while being a total non performer for 2 years, and taking up a huge chunk of our cap.
Just an outrageous and unhinged rant.
See you later Angus.

The Sydney Roosters’ Sitili Tupouniua has been given permission to talk with rival NRL clubs in the wake of David Fifita’s impending arrival as the Bondi club attempts to address its sudden back-row logjam.
It is understood that Tupouniua is free to go at season’s end following the Roosters’ decision to give Fifita a big money deal from next season.
While he has been given an opportunity to explore the open market there is no certainty that the 26-year-old will exit the club. It may depend on the future of Angus Crichton who the Roosters are keen to lock in.

If Crichton does move on then Tupouniua may remain at the club. Regardless, rival clubs have been made aware that the Tongan international could be free to join them as early as next season.
Tupouniua has played 92 top-grade games since making his debut for the Roosters in 2018. A neck injury restricted him to just eight matches last season and his 2024 form has been scratchy as he makes his way back.
The Roosters are now juggling a forward pack filled with elite talent. Fifita joins the club on a four-year deal worth about $3.3 million.
They want to keep Crichton and already have Nat and Egan Butcher plus Siua Wong locked in.
Tupouniua has a long-term deal at the Roosters worth about $650,000 and is contracted until the end of 2027.

A host of clubs are on the lookout for a strike back-rower. The Panthers missed out on Fifita while the Titans also have a massive hole in their forward pack given Fifita’s decision to leave the club at the end of the season.
Tupouniua joins St George Illawarra’s Jaydn Su’A as well as Crichton as star back-rowers who could be on the move at the end of the season.
The Dragons remain confident their long-term deal to keep Su’A at the club will be enough.
Crichton has attracted interest from his former club South Sydney who have flagged their intention to talk to him about a potential return.

See this is the point the club are allready working around the clock to move someone on to accomodate Angus
for sitili who has just signed for 4 years the chooks may need to even pay some of his salary to move him on early
So yes Gus the chooks are allready working to get you a deal, maybe sit 5 and wait until they have
sitili will find another contract easily - I’m a little surprised we signed him for so long on that money - we don’t overpay or botch many deal but this is potentially one we got wrong
but again we are on the front foot and moving him on

Crichton is a premiership winning NSW and Australian rep Rooster … regardless if we extend him or not … it should not be that hard to keep him onside … we need him this yearBorn and bred in the eastern suburbs.
