  • Sitili

Reported on NRL 360 that the Roosters have given him permission to find a new club. If he is on the reported $650k per year, then we are not getting value for money. May be a sign that Gus will be inking a deal soon.

Yep. If $650 - way too much.

But just don't like moving on our players for " bigger name " (apparently) players. Smith for Verrils, Fafita for maybe Sitilli and/or others.

Sometimes it is all about culture. You can't buy or import culture.

And also the coach is responsible for getting the best out of all players.

Saw a few days ago the club was looking to move sitili on
we have cash but for roster management best to move a backrower on to keep Gus and sign Fifita

we don’t gets contracts and overpaying guys wrong often but this one we potentially got wrong for the amount of time and coin

if true that’s it’s $650k I thought maybe more $450k though we are doing what we do and moving him on as we won’t get the value and better players like fiftita out there

but seems like not many new he was on $650k and only just signed for 4 years

feels like a Napa situation again where we went hard and didn’t love up to expectations so not sitting on it for long

maybe if Gus kept quite he would be aware the roosters and working on getting something done

Sensible move. Really hasn’t kicked on since debuting pre-Covid.

I have no problem with this. Our standards are now back to where they need to be. Young guns like Wong and Whyte need to see their pathway otherwise they lose interest, move on or just fall through the cracks.

$650k is way overs Imo. He lacks confidence which has limited his growth. Perfect project for Bellamy at the right price.

I’m sure Mr.desperate Flanagan will pay overs to get Sitili to join his miserable Club!

I hope we do a swap this year for Fifita if we have the money for the difference and Sitili is happy to move to that dump of a state. Gives the Titans first and only crack at Sitili.

I like Sitili but I’ll console myself on this one by reminding myself that he isn’t a great tackler. Plus, you need superstars to win premierships.

Or off to the Sharks with Fitzy who knows him well. Sitili would give them something different to what they have and with AFB going there it's a chance for them to change things up. Titans will clearly be in need and I think Sitili's brother is up there now (may be wrong about that). Or, he could head home to NZ with the Warriors. Anyway, he'll have plenty of interest and if he leaves, I wish him the best of luck.

650k is big overs. There was a year where his line running was producing lots of tries but has struggled last couple of years with poor reads in defence and dropped balls

The acl injury came at a bad time
came back last year smashing Blokes with robbo using him off the bench on the middle and caused havoc
he will be fine with interest from other clubs
                        titans need to replace Fifita
                        dolphins always looking for players
dogs, tigers and St George also looking
                        maybe even knights

Toni is playing NSW Cup for the Warriors. Sitili played against his brother last week.

If he goes early, we probably tip $200k towards his salary, no club gonna take him for full freight.
