I agree with you regarding Spencer, but I’m absolutely certain neither May nor Collins are or will ever be anything like JWH. Don’t get me wrong, both are great at what they do, but they just don't have that Alpha gene that JWH has always had. It’s not something you can learn, you either have it or you don’t. I reckon by this time next year we will truly understanding the gaping hole that he’s left behind.

Dane Eldridge is a warped cynic yearning for the glory days of rugby league, a time when the sponges were magic and the Mondays were mad. He’s never strapped on a boot in his life, and as such, should be taken with a grain of salt.

Interesting
in robbos coaches part he got hammered on the Fifita
said he was disappointed and confused but laughed it off saying he was glad for the cooling off period so he didn’t come down and not want to be there
was keen to work with Fifita
said he doesn’t expect Fifita to pick up the phone and call him - what a coward
Angus critchon and he have talked and keen to get something in place still
apparently the sitili being asked to look elsewhere was false (I’m still okay to move him on as he is outside the 17 and on good coin)
also that we may look at someone but not Rush into in otherwise wait until the following year
might mean we front load contracts for 2025 and have a larger cap for 2026 and stack it

When Trent Robinson woke up just after 5am on Wednesday to a text message suggesting David Fifita was getting cold feet about joining the club, he let out a rueful chuckle.
“[I] thought, ‘Oh well, that’s footy’, and moved on,” Robinson said. “It was pretty simple. I had a chuckle to myself about the circus that our game is ... and went back to work.”
After being left at the altar by one of the game’s most damaging front-rowers, Robinson spoke for the first time on Friday about Fifita’s stunning backflip to stay at the Titans next year, spurning a $3.3 million, four-year offer to move to Bondi Junction
I suspect that’s where Robinson was going to play him. And also probably the reason he reneged on the deal.
