  • Connor Watson

According to NRL.com, Watson was put on report in the 75th minute for a dangerous tackle.

There's no mention of him in the judiciary report...so what happened?

    Am I hallucinating?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

He’ll be out this week in any case. Just reported on SMH that he has a throat injury? Could be out for a month!

Another serious injury that occurred at training would be a huge blow if he misses a month or more Watson has been absolutely outstanding this year and his ability to cause damage not only from dummy half but off second phase play has been a big boost to this attack.

Not charged, obviously. No surprise there, it was ridiculous that he was put on report. It didn't even warrant a penalty.

That's a real shame not only for us, but gee he must've been close to being picked as the NSW 14, if they've been paying attention.

According to the SMH it happened at training probably wore a stray forearm from JWH/Leniu.

God I hate these where a player backs into the tackle and just grabs their neck when the inevitable pressure comes.

IMHO if you back into a tackle the"Crusher" should be ruled out as an option. We all know what a crusher looks like and it's not the 99% of cases that are penalised.

The club updated Watson's injury and it would seem it happened against the Sharks not at training like the SMH had reported regardless looks like he will miss 3-4 weeks.

The Sydney Roosters squad has been assessed following the Club’s Round 11 match against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Following the match, scans demonstrated that Connor Watson had sustained a throat injury. The Club is currently seeking expert opinion on his return to play schedule, and it is anticipated that he will be unavailable for three to four weeks.
